American shares ‘worst Guinness pour ever’ however nobody believes his barmaid declare
A barmaid has been crucified online by the Guinness Community on Facebook after a bloke shared a snap of three beers, so badly poured it’s sparked 405 raging comments
Name a more talked about beer than Guinness right now, we’ll wait. Ireland’s most famous export grew so popular at the back end of last year, owners Diageo claimed to be running so low on the stout that pubs began even rolling out ration tokens.
Several months later, the black stuff seems to be pouring out of taps like never before – unfortunately quite literally in the case of one poor punter.
Captioning a photo of three pint glasses filled to the brim with a 50/50 liquid to foam ratio, Nicholas Tyburczy was nothing but dumbfounded. To make matters worse, Nicholas explained he asked for an improved trio of Guinness at the bar, only to be told that’s how they always serve it.
Sharing his shock and horror with the Guinness Community Facebook page on Tuesday, Nicholas wrote: “This is not a joke! my family and i were just served this. bartender said she’s been serving for 15 years when questioned about the pour. what would you do?”
The responses from likeminded drinkers were exactly what you’d expect.
“I would call the police,” was one perhaps overly dramatic response. He added: “This is a crime against humanity.”
Another joked: “She was trying to split the G.”
Most of the quips were aimed at the barmaid’s claim she’d been pouring beer for a decade and a half.
“No one believes this that she was a barmaid for 15 years more like 15 minutes,” one Facebook user wrote.
A fellow defender of all things Guinness, said: “Show her a picture of a proper one and say never too late to learn.”
And on the same lines: “If she is serving for 15 years, she has been doing it wrong for 15 years. I would send it back.”
Some people even pointed at hour low the branding was on the glasses and accused Nicholas of faking the image with photo editing software.
He added to the original post hours later adding a bit more information about the service. He wrote: “Update: Love the comments they have me rolling. wish i thought of some of them to say when they were put in front of us.
“They are not photoshopped. 100% real. she ended up charging full price, had an attitude, over heard her talking about us to other customers that we complained about the pour. terrible experience and we and many others will not be going back. and yes it’s U.S.. so embarrassed”
What better way to wrap up the comment section than with this belter?
“Im sorry ive been a bartender for years and this is criminal, the fact she refused to fix that pint makes me sick to my stomach, take her job away.”
