Madeleine McCann search police discover ‘clothes and bones’ after probing dig samples
Evidence recovered from a search of an old farmhouse and surrounding lands a few miles from Algarve resort Praia da Luz, where Madeleine vanished, has reportedly been sent for testing
Police investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann are probing samples of ‘clothes and bones’ uncovered in last week’s search, it has been claimed.
Investigators renewed their search for the three-year-old girl last week with teams of German police and Portuguese counterparts seen clearing dense vegetation, digging near an old farmhouse and looking down wells a few miles from Algarve resort Praia da Luz, where Madeleine vanished. The investigation was first thought not to have uncovered any major break-throughs.
But now, it has been reported fragments of clothing and bones have been sent off for testing after being uncovered at the scene. During the search – the first to take place since 2023 – crews spent three days scouring scrubland and abandoned structures, including a derelict farmhouse.
A source told Berlin Morning Post: “Several objects have apparently been discovered, which are now being examined in more detail by the police in the laboratory.
“As Portuguese media report, clothing debris and bones were found, among other things. The investigators have not officially commented on whether the finds could have anything to do with Madeleine’s disappearance but that is clearly their hope.”
It comes as a shocking new documentary about missing tot has unearthed new crucial evidence pointing the finger at Christian Brueckner as the main suspect. The film shows the incriminating discoveries inside his hidden lair which increased suspicions against him, enflaming global interest since Maddie went missing in 2007.
Since Madeleine vanished on a family holiday in the Algarve nearly two decades ago, leads have been scarce. The investigation delves into alarming items found at the disused factory once used by Brueckner, alongside his sickening fascination with little ones. The programme ‘Madeleine McCann: Inside the Secret Evidence’ delves into the unsettling details of children’s swimming costumes and toys uncovered on his premises.
According to The Sun’s documentary, police also stumbled upon a sinister mask, firearms, and depraved fictional tales of child abduction authored by Brueckner.
He wrote: “A very small girl enters the room. She’s definitely not older than five. Blonde, long hair tied in pigtails bounces cheekily back and forth as she comes towards me. I feel like I’m in paradise right now.”
