McDonald’s employee ‘slaps’ yob as large brawl breaks out in entrance of shocked prospects

Mobile phone footage captured the moment a gang of youths forced their way into a McDonald’s restaurant and attacked a worker who was trying to keep customers safe

Shocking footage shows the moment a mass brawl was sparked in a McDonald’s restaurant after a worker appeared to slap a hooded youth on his head.

Horrified customers watched on as a group of yobs barged their way into the fast food chain’s restaurant in Dalston, east London, before staff told them to leave the store.

As they tried to force their way into the restaurant by pulling the automatic doors open, staff can be seen trying to keep them out while scared customers are still inside.

A video clip posted to social media shows the thugs eventually manage to open the entrance, allowing one of their number to enter the store.

Punches and kicks are thrown at the fast food worker before the female filming the incident leaves the store.

Filming the ordeal, the girl can be heard begging the staff to let her and her friend leave the store. The pair had been trapped in while staff prevented the gang from re-entering.

McDonald’s confirmed that police had been called in following the brawl, which occurred after the “disruptive” group were asked to leave.

A spokesperson for the US food giant said: “We are aware of the incident involving anti-social behaviour from a group of customers that has been circulating on social media.

“The group were asked to leave the restaurant as they were being disruptive and rude to our people and other customers but forced their way back inside. The police were called, and we are supporting them with their enquiries.

“We are also reminding our restaurant team of the correct procedures for handling this type of behaviour.”
