A holiday on the horizon and no clue on what to pack? As someone whose summer wardrobe is made up of dresses (poplin minis, floral midis, linen maxis – you name and I’ve got it), they’re the answer to all my warm-weather packing woes. My golden rule? A dress for every night, plus a few extra if your baggage allowance permits.
But there is another cheat code for getting dressed quickly, whilst still looking put together, and that’s a matching set. (Our fashion editor Hannah Skelley has rounded up 11 office-appropriate co-ords for summer here.)
Not only can they be thrown over a bikini as a cover-up by the beach, or worn with a pair of comfortable sandals for an excursion out exploring the town, but they can also be glammed up with a raffia bag and statement earrings come nighttime. And Michelle Keegan agrees.
‘Co-ords are a holiday non-negotiable for me,’ says the actress. ‘They are an effortless way to look and feel put together, and make packing for vacations so much easier. They require little planning; can be worn together or separately, from daytime events to evening moments. The options are endless.’
From a tailored co-ord to a matching knitted set, Keegan’s latest collection for Very includes more than a few summer looks that can be worn on holiday, or on repeat when you’re back in the UK. Below, we asked her to share five of her favourite looks from the edit – and her tips on how to style each of them.

‘This set is perfect for an evening look on holiday. I love pairing this co-ord with a kitten keel and simple gold jewellery.’

‘This knitted co-ord is a cute option for the daytime. Styled over a bikini, with a pair of white flip flops and a raffia beach bag – the dream holiday outfit trio.’

‘Tailoring will forever be my go-to for a sleek and put-together look. Simple and timeless, this shorts set is a seasonal staple. I would team it with gold seashell earrings and a pair of heeled mules to add a touch of fun.’

‘There is always room for fun prints in your holiday wardrobe and this vibrant print is my ultimate pick. I would keep the styling extra simple: raffia sandals and a micro clutch bag.’

‘Packing pieces that make you look good and feel even better is essential. This halter-neck co-ord is so flattering. I would elevate the look with some chunky bangles or a metallic clutch.’
