Two youths have been filmed appearing to brazenly swipe boxes of chocolates from Tesco shelves in shocking footage shared online.

The clip, taken by a fellow customer, shows two baby-faced bandits grab the boxes at at a store in Nottingham before making off with the stash. One boy, dressed all in black with a rucksack, grabs a box of chocolate bars and runs out of the store first.

A second boy, dressed in grey jogging bottoms and an orange jumper, struggles to get his box off the shelves, but preservers anyway despite looking at the woman filming on her mobile phone as he checks if the coast is clear. A few seconds later, he dashes out of the shop with his loot.

The shocking footage is said to have been filmed in a Tesco store in Nottingham and has stunned social media users at the brazen nature of the teenage thieves.

One said: “Society is genuinely collapsing.” Another added: “This is what happens when kids are watching videos of people on social media shoplift without any consequences.”

The shocking clips comes just weeks after we reported a prolific Greggs thief was banned from all branches after nicking drinks from a shop he’d targeted several times before.

Patrick Verry, 33, was seen filling up a bag with drinks from the fridge in a Greggs in Wood Green High Road, Haringey, north London, on May 15 before being tackled by an undercover cop.

The bakery chain previously announced it was putting drinks and sandwiches behind the counters of at least five stores after a spate of thefts and ‘higher levels of anti-social behaviour’.

It followed reports that thieves are targeting some outlets every 20 minutes. Greggs has also given bodycams to some staff. Tesco and Nottinghamshire Police have been contacted for comment.
