In other news, a murder probe has been initiated following the fatal stabbing of a 32-year-old man in a posh London skyscraper.

The Metropolitan Police reported that they were called to a residential property in Vauxhall just past 5.30am on Saturday. They discovered a man with knife wounds who tragically succumbed despite the valiant efforts of the London Ambulance Service’s medical team.

The Met confirmed that the deceased’s next-of-kin have been notified and are receiving support from specialist officers. Two men, aged 35 and 33, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. The investigation is still underway, according to the Met.

The Standard revealed that the incident took place in DAMAC Tower, part of the Nine Elms development.

The publication stated that the victim collapsed in the building’s lobby, which is situated adjacent to the US embassy in London, reports the Mirror.

GB News reported on Saturday that the luxury building was put under “lockdown”, with management informing residents that the lifts were out of order.

One resident claimed that deliveries had been halted and people were instructed to use the emergency stairs.

A message dispatched by the building’s managers to residents read: “The police are presently on the premises, diligently managing the situation.”
