Watch bare man stride down busy street in pitch black as lady describes her ‘terror’
A naked man was spotted walking down a busy road in the middle of the night as police were called to the scene and a woman said she was ‘terrified’ by the unexpected encounter
Police were called after a naked man was spotted strolling down Topsham Road in Exeter. Footage captures the male walking along the pavement during the early hours of Saturday morning.
A woman returning home from a night out described being absolutely terrified by the shocking encounter near Barrack Road. Two Good Samaritans stopped to assist her and she dialled 999.
They recorded a brief video as evidence and questioned the man about his behaviour.
The woman shared: “Actually never been so f***** scared in my whole life, walking home and this man is butt f***** naked walking along Topsham Rd, tried walking past and he’s just coming towards me not saying anything, making me walk in the middle of the road.”, reports Devon Live.
“I’ve had to flag down passing traffic and thank f*** two blokes in a van stopped and got me in their van and stayed with [sic] me while I’m on the phone to the police! !”
“Apparently they’ve had few reports about it already! ! It takes a lot to scare me but f*** walking home on my own at night again…actually shaking.”
She revealed she was speaking to her daughter on the phone during the incident. She first noticed the man darting between bushes and “didn’t know where to look”.
“My daughter thought I was seeing things,” the woman explained. “It freaked me out. I’m in my forties and pretty streetwise and I’ve never been scared walking home in Exeter but it’s made me not want to walk home on my own again.
“He didn’t say anything but just seemed a bit crazy.
“I’m so thankful for the two guys for stopping in their van and taking me home.”
A representative for Devon and Cornwall Police stated: “Police were called at 2.15am on Saturday 13 September to Topsham Road, Exeter, following a report of concern for a man who was not wearing any clothes.
“The man was given a lift home by officers, and his clothes found en route.”
