Adult star Bonnie Blue’s darkest fears of being violently attacked in public came horrifyingly true when she was allegedly punched in the face at a student nightclub event in Sheffield.
The 26-year-old, who recently admitted she constantly worries about being the victim of an acid attack, was left reeling after chaos erupted just 40 minutes into her “barely legal” university ‘Bang Bus’ tour stop at Onyx nightclub in the early hours of Friday morning.
Witnesses say a woman who had queued up to meet Bonnie suddenly turned and smacked her square in the jaw. One shocked onlooker said: “I saw a woman talking to their friend while standing next to Bonnie Blue. They turned to Bonnie, turned back to their friend, and then punched Bonnie square in the jaw.”
Footage captured by fans shows police rushing to the scene outside the club as stunned students looked on.
The night had started with huge queues and heavy security as Bonnie’s infamous “Bang Bus” parked up nearby, but tensions were already running high.
One student claimed: “A girl had said something to Bonnie about how she was setting feminism back. We were behind them in the queue, and we overheard Bonnie telling her security to ‘get those fat f**** away from me’.”
Despite a “successful” event the previous evening in Leeds, the Sheffield gig spiralled out of control on Fitzwilliam Street, leaving fans gobsmacked and Bonnie at the centre of the drama.
Police told the Daily Star in a statement: “At 1.22am today (Friday 19 September), we were called to reports of a disturbance at Onyx nightclub on Portobello Street, Sheffield. It is reported that a woman was assaulted at the nightclub, suffering no injuries.
“A woman was detained at the scene and later released. The incident has been filed pending further information coming to light.”
The shocking attack comes after Bonnie confessed in an exclusive interview with the Daily Star that she lives in constant fear of being targeted, with acid attacks at the top of her nightmares.
She chillingly admitted: “My worst one is acid. I can imagine some girls doing that.”
The performer went on to reveal she receives hundreds of death threats every day, adding: “It’s going to happen at some point. Someone is going to give me stick.
“I don’t go out on my own. Last time I went out on my own was probably about six months ago.
“We are in a world where unfortunate things happen… I’d be stupid to walk down the street without security.”
Despite the abuse and constant trolling, Bonnie insisted she won’t be broken, saying: “It really goes over my head. Honestly, I’ve never shed a tear over the hate or the comments… When I’m out in person, everyone is so amazing to me. They’re so sweet and so nice.”
