Cabin crew ‘attacked’ on Edinburgh flight to Tenerife as requires ‘medical help’

A holiday flight coming into Tenerife from Scotland has been given priority landing after a member of cabin crew member was reportedly “attacked” today (December 5).
The crew asked for medical assistance and the presence of the police upon arrival at the Tenerife south airport.
The flight was coming from Edinburgh with reports of an incident on board that forced the crew to request urgent assistance on landing. It is reported to have been a Jet2 flight.
As reported by air traffic controllers on the social network ‘X’, during the journey there was a fight in which, apparently, a cabin crew member (TCP) was attacked.
From the tower, the controllers assured the flight that they cut “to the maximum” on the approach of the plane to facilitate a priority landing.
According to tweets from Air Traffic Spain on X said: “Incident on board a flight from Edinburgh arriving in South Tenerife. The crew requests medical assistance and police presence upon arrival for a fight where, apparently, they would have assaulted the TCP.
“We cut the approach to the maximum with priority.”
Air traffic controllers also expressed support for both crews and passengers who must face “such unpleasant situations” during flights.
For the moment, no further details have emerged about the status of the TCP or about possible arrests or sanctions.
Jet2 have been contacted for comment.
