Lando Norris kisses beautiful mannequin girlfriend who sparked F1 controversy after title win

Lando Norris was seen kissing his girlfriend Magui Corceiro after he was crowned Formula 1 world champion at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, with the Portuguese model in attendance

Lando Norris made a beeline for his stunning girlfriend Magui Corceiro after securing his place as Formula 1 world champion.

The British driver was seen embracing and kissing the Portuguese model amongst the crowd of his loved ones and spectators before heading to the podium to celebrate sealing his first world title over Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Norris only required a third-place finish at the Yas Marina Circuit to clinch the title, courtesy of his 12-point lead over Verstappen heading into the race. And that’s precisely what he achieved despite surrendering second position early on to his team-mate and fellow championship contender Piastri.

Charles Leclerc had the Briton on edge in the closing stages as he narrowed the gap, but ultimately the speed in his Ferrari faded and Norris enjoyed a clear run to the chequered flag and the championship.

Upon crossing the line, he was overcome with emotion as he expressed his gratitude to his team over the radio.

“Thank you guys… oh my god. You made my dreams come true, thank you so much. I love you guys, for everything. You deserve it. I love you mum, I love you dad. Thanks for everything. And now I’m crying!” he sobbed with elation.

After climbing out of his car, he embraced his mother Cisca and father Adam, whilst there was also a touching moment with his girlfriend Magui. The pair made their relationship official earlier this season following a lengthy on-and-off romance, confirming they had rekindled their partnership.

Magui has been no stranger to the limelight for many years and she has regularly featured on F1 broadcasters, appearing in the back of the McLaren garage or alongside Norris around the paddock.

However, the broadcasters’ continued insistence to film drivers’ partners instead of the racing action has left F1 fans furious, and after the Singapore Grand Prix, Norris’ former team-mate Carlos Sainz criticised the amount of attention that WAGs were being given.

He said: “They [the production team] go overboard a little by showing the celebrities and girlfriends… they missed a lot of things. I understand that if there is an overtake, a very tense moment in the race, it is understandable that the production team might want to show a reaction shot if they have seen that it has worked in the past… but [they only should] if the competition is respected.”

Speaking to Portuguese media, Corceiro said on the matter: “I don’t call the cameras. If they record me, they record me. Sometimes I don’t even realise if I’m being recorded.”
