FA Cup third spherical draw: Start time, learn how to watch and Premier League golf equipment’ ball numbers

The FA Cup third round draw takes place on Monday evening at 6.40pm, with Premier League and Championship sides entering the competition – here’s how to watch

The FA Cup third round draw is a date that football fans eagerly mark in their calendars. The big guns from the Premier League and Championship will join the fray, with many lower-league outfits dreaming of landing a high-profile match-up.

The third round will see 64 teams in action, as the elite clubs from the top two tiers join the 20 victors from the second round. Thanks to a couple of all-non-league clashes this weekend, at least two sixth-tier sides will feature in the FA Cup draw.

Sunday afternoon saw Macclesfield beat Slough Town in one of these non-league showdowns. National League outfit Boreham Wood also pulled off a cupset, beating League Two Newport County 3-0 on Sunday. While Brackley Town host Burton on Monday in the final game of the second round.

Most clubs in the third round draw will be crossing their fingers for a glamour tie against heavyweights like Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal, as such high-profile fixtures can provide a significant financial boost. Here’s everything you need to know about the FA Cup third round draw.

The FA Cup third round draw is set to take place on Monday, December 8, around 6.40pm UK time. Peter Crouch and Joe Cole will conduct the draw before the kick-off between Brackley Town and Burton Albion, the final match of the second round.
