Ant and Dec have revealed when I’m A Celebrity: South Africa will arrive on our screens. The Geordie pair, both 48, recently crowned social media sensation Angry Ginge as the latest King of the Jungle after their ITV reality survival programme concluded over the weekend in Australia.

And now, audiences will shortly witness them putting a selection of previous contestants through gruelling challenges. The former Byker Grove actors recently posted a behind-the-scenes compilation from the most recent series on social media, showcasing celebrities including Emmerdale favourite Lisa Riley, performer Ruby Wax and rapper Aitch.

Meanwhile, EastEnders ‘ Shona McGarty and Celebs Go Dating’s Tom Read-Wilson also made it to the finale.

Accompanying their social media update, Ant and Dec penned: “25th series was pretty special. See you for more in May!”

Fans were quick to spot the announcement, with one posting: “IN MAY! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! YAYYYYYYY.” Another commented: “Can’t wait for another series in may and next November” whilst a third enthusiastically responded: “Miss you already!

“See you on the telly!” Having previously endured Bushtucker trials and encounters with creepy crawlies, numerous high-profile personalities are preparing to travel to South Africa for I’m A Celeb All Stars, which Ant and Dec have already promised will prove far more challenging than the original programme, reports the Mirror.

In October, ITV unveiled a trailer for a second series of I’m A Celeb All Stars. In the preview, presenters Ant and Dec reveal they are “looking for a legend”.

Dec went on to ask: “You’ve survived the Australian Jungle, how much harder can this be?” His query is met with a series of screams, accompanied by footage of celebrities tackling frightening challenges such as attempting to traverse a rope bridge high above the ground. Ant then responds: “Well, quite a lot harder, actually.”

ITV shrewdly concealed the identities of the participating celebrities, but the speculated lineup features 14 well-known personalities, including a soap opera icon, a controversial Strictly contestant and a cherished Olympic athlete. Reports at the time suggested that previous camp favourites such as Scarlett Moffatt, Seann Walsh and Adam Thomas would be enduring the entire series once more.

The programme has only aired one season to date, with former pop sensation Myleene Klass claiming victory after a tense finale against Jordan Banjo. However, despite earning the title of the first I’m A Celebrity… Legend, the ex-Hear’Say member revealed after her triumph that she had been uncertain about participating when initially approached.

She commented: “They say don’t go back to an ex and don’t go back to a reheated dinner. I thought to myself, ‘Oh no, what if it’s not as good?”

But everything worked out brilliantly in the end, as she revealed: “I’ve gone back into the bush and it’s been even bigger, more majestic. It’s not been against any campmates – it’s been against the best of the best.

“It’s just been mind-blowing. Everything was magical, very tough – challenging both mentally and physically – and something that I’ve loved throwing myself into.”

Her daughters Ava, 18, and Hero, 15, even convinced her to sign up as she left them and her son Apollo with fiancé Simon Motson. She continued: “Both of them were just begging me to do it.

“I said to them, ‘I’ll be as strong as I can be’. I wanted to show them, and other little girls, keep walking through the fire.

“I feel so happy. I said if I got a crown on my head it would be the icing on the cake.
