‘He likes Hexham and may win once more’ – Jason Heavey’s Wednesday ideas

The Daily Star Chief Tipster strongly fancies an improving chaser to score at racing’s most scenic racecourse in Northumberland on Wednesday

HEEZTHEBOY (2.55, nap) can make it three wins out of four at Hexham on Wednesday.

The eight-year-old has been revitalised since switching to the Cheshire yard of Gary Hanmer (below) .

He scored over today’s course and distance by 15 lengths in October before coming a solid second at Uttoxeter.

Heeztheboy’s best effort came at Wetherby two weeks ago over three miles when he trounced some decent rivals by 13 lengths and never came off the bridle.

Back in trip today on heavy ground, he should relish the conditions and is preferred to Gordon Elliott’s Truckers Cruising in the Ursa Major Event Of Sivola Memorial Chase.

The latter hosed up at Ayr and rates the main threat.

Elliott should score with KING GRIS (1.55) who landed a major punt last week at Ayr and looks ahead of the handicapper, while useful bumper performer UNION AVENUE (1.25) is an interesting runner for Jimmy Moffatt after 18 months out.

DANCE TIME (7.30, trb) gets on well with Rossa Ryan and loves the all-weather surface.

He can complete a hat-trick at Kempton in the Highclere Castle Horse Feeds Handicap.

HIERARCHY (7.00) was a strong finishing runner-up at Kempton recently and is fancied to go one better for Saffie Osborne, while the speedy PINJARRA (8.30) has a nice draw to dominate the closing handicap on the card.

CHIEF SUNDAY (2.45, nb) looked in need of the run at Worcester and should be. Different proposition at Leicester for the Twiston-Davies yard that has recaptured some form.

CABALLERO CLIFF (1.15) is another to benefit from a recent pipe-opener and if he is anywhere his Cheltenham Festival bumper form (fourth place) he should win the maiden hurdle at the East Midlands track.

The ground should ride. Bit better at Hereford where ROCK SENSATION (12.35) can win the first. She showed big promise in a Cheltenham bumper last month.

GNOMON (1.05) won twice on the Flat and is interesting while CAN YOU HEAR ME (1.35) – running in the West Tip colours – showed good promise at Lingfield.

DANNY’S FRIEND (3.05) was an impressive winner at the track 15 days ago over two miles and fences have brought about improvement. He should appreciate the longer trip of 2m 4f.
