Rising motocross star Enzo Badenas lifeless at 17 after horror coaching accident

Rising motocross star Enzo Badenas has passed away at the age of 17 after being involved in a tragic accident in training.

The news was confirmed by the The Real Federacion Motociclista Espanola (RFME) national team on Monday, who revealed that he had died after suffering a fatal injury.

Badenas, who was part of the Spanish motocross national team, had been in a private training session at the Red Sand Park in Vilafames when the accident occurred.

The Specialized Center for Motor Sports Technification (CETDM) later released a statement, which read: ‘All the staff of the CETDM and the Circuit wish to give condolences, love and a lot of strength to all the family members, colleagues, friends and close ones of Enzo in these difficult moments’.

According to reports, Badenas joined the CETDM back in 2023 after claiming victory in the Spanish 85cc Motocross Championship, a season prior.

Their statement continued: ‘Throughout this time, he has shown great personal and professional growth that has led him to achieve various podiums and victories’.

His family, meanwhile, have since confirmed that his mass will take place on December 10th at the Monduver funeral home in Gandia.

In a statement, according to People, they said: ‘On behalf of Enzo’s entire family, we would like to inform you that the wake will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral mass at 6:00 PM at the Monduver Funeral Home in Gandia.

‘We hope to see you all there. Enzo would have loved to see you. We are feeling all your love and support, and I’m sure Enzo feels it too.’

Badenas was widely considered a rising star in the sport after winning the Spanish 85cc championship back in 2022. He also competed in national and international events, such as the European championship.

According to reports, just one hour prior to his tragic death, the teenager had posted footage onto his Instagram story showcasing his talents on the dirt track.

In another tragic twist, Badenas’ final post on Instagram was dedicated to his father on his birthday and credited him as ‘one of the most important people in my life’.

The post read: ‘We’ve had bad moments, like when we were in the hospital, both crying, but also many good ones: finish a training happy, come back to music singing together, finish a race well, or climb the podium.

‘Despite those good and bad times, I thank God for living them by your side. You cannot imagine how good of a father you are and how proud I am of you.’
