St Botolph’s Priory ‘critical incident’ as police referred to as in and shut automobile park

A “serious incident” is currently taking place at a renowned UK tourist spot, with emergency services present on site.

An air ambulance has been spotted at St Botolph’s Priory in Colchester. The car park is said to have been cordoned off by the police and visitors are being prevented from entering or exiting the premises.

Essex Police have confirmed the response is in relation to a medical incident. The East of England Ambulance Service is leading the response. Photos reveal that surrounding roads by the English Heritage site are gridlocked with emergency service vehicles.
