Abbey Clancy reveals that hubby Peter Crouch can solely cook dinner one dish
Abbey Clancy has revealed that her husband Peter Crouch is far better on the pitch than he is in the kitchen, after she announced there is only one dish he is able to whip up
Abbey Clancy has egg-sposed hubby Peter Crouch – by revealing an omelette is the only thing he can cook. The model regularly rustles up fancy grub for the pundit and their four kids.
But beanpole Pete is lacking in culinary skills and either dials for a takeaway or plates up the eggy munch, filling it with “whatever’s in the fridge”. Abbey said: “Dinner is always cooked by me. I made these incredible dauphinoise potatoes with steak, mushrooms and green beans last night.
“If I’m too tired or I’m out, Pete will either get a takeaway or make the only dish he ever cooks, which is Daddy’s omelette. It’s basically stuffed with whatever’s in the fridge.”
The couple love “over-indulging” on food and booze on holiday but try to be healthy on the whole.
Super fit Abbey, who hits the gym every day, says their partying days from Pete’s peak footballing career are behind them. She added: “We overdid the wine during Covid so we’re trying to drink less.
“It all seems a world away from when Pete was playing for England and the WAG culture was in full flow. We’ve all grown up a bit since then.”
Now they love nothing more than an early night and watching telly like normal couples.
Abbey said: “Once the kids have gone to bed and come down again and gone to bed and come down again and finally gone to bed, we’ll get in bed as early as possible ourselves.
“Then we’ll watch some TV — I’m obsessed with the relationships on Married at First Sight Australia.”
Speaking about how they resolve any arguments, the mum-of-four said: “I’m trying to train Pete to be a bit more emotionally intelligent as sometimes he’s like a baby.
“He’ll walk out and slam a door and ignore me for an hour but he’s getting better, and we are very solid as a unit.
“We like the same things, laugh at the same things. Ours is a happy house even after 20 years together.”
