Emma Paton clothes as physician and warns followers ‘or else’ as a part of ‘whistle squad’

Emma Paton was at the head of the darts whistling squad as Paddy Power produced the tongue in cheek video ahead of the World Darts Championship

Emma Paton headed up darts’ whistle squad and tried to crack down on the annoying fans ahead of the Paddy Power PDC World Darts Championship.

In a tongue in cheek video with Paddy Power, the Sky Sports host, alongside with some familiar faces, visit darts fans in their line of work. The video opens with a chef adding a “pinch” of salt into his dish when he’s startled by a loud whistle.

The camera pans to reveal Chris Dobey and Emma: “Did you whistle at Chris Dobey during the Premier League in Belfast?” And when the admits to it, she adds: “Well consider this revenge…”

Emma’s voice then narrates: “There’s nothing more irritating than people whistling at the darts… So we tracked down some of the culprits to see how he liked it.”

The camera cuts to a board room where a man, who once whistled at Stephen Bunting, is trying to give a presentation – but keeps on being interrupted by a whistling Bullet.

The man, who is struggling to present, is ridiculed by one colleague: “rattled”

Other darts fans are then caught, including a watchmaker and a doctor. Emma continues: “So this Christmas don’t whistle at the darts… Or else!”

The World Darts Championship swings into action on Thursday evening, with defending champion Littler the headliner in action as he squares off with Darius Labanauskas.

Littler said of the draw: “Yeah, I mean, obviously it could have been a lot worse with the players in the field, but I’m very happy with it – very happy.

“It could have been, like I said, a lot tougher, but yeah, I’ll take Darius in the first round.

“No matter what I average, no matter how I win, I just want to get that first win under my belt, and then I can hopefully come back and win again.

“But yeah, it’s just all eyes, laser-focused, on that first game.”
