BREAKING Ross Smith crashes out of World Darts Championship towards final underdog

Ross Smith missed six match darts as he crashed out of the World Darts Championship first round against World No.114 Andreas Harryson.
Smith, who is World No.12, had been cruising to victory on night two at Ally Pally as he led 2-1 on sets with match darts in hand. However, in a whirlwind turnaround the 50-year-old debutant clawed his way back into the clash.
Thew wind was in the Swede’s sails and suddenly he was one leg away from a stunning upset – missing a dart at bullseye for the match. However, he would return, but missed 72 on tops for the game.
Smith would also miss tops, and Harryson would hit double 5 to take the biggest win of his life.
Stuart Pyke, who was on commentary for Sky Sports said: “Andreas Harrysson with the biggest win of his life! He’s taken out the 12th seed Ross Smith.
“Smith had the game in the palm of his hands but he’s thrown it away. He missed six match darts and Harrysson has beaten him.”
