Paedo who assaulted lady, 14, has three enamel knocked out in assault behind bars
A sex offender had three of his teeth knocked out after being assaulted in prison. Julien Dorin, who sexually assaulted a missing girl after bumping into her late at night in Liverpool ONE, was attacked behind bars.
The deviant paedophile told the teenager “I’ve got money, if you help me, I’ll help you” before kissing and groping her, forcing her to seek safety in a nearby pub. The predator had only been released from jail a few months prior, following a violent assault, before he subjected her to the terrifying hour-long ordeal.
Liverpool Crown Court heard this week that the 14-year-old girl had run away from home at the time of the incident in May this year. Around 10pm, she found herself sitting in Chavasse Park in Liverpool city centre.

Dorin, of no fixed address, then approached her and struck up a conversation. Derek Jones, prosecuting, described how a “rather lengthy interaction” ensued between the two over the course of roughly an hour. However, during this time, the defendant “repeatedly asked her if she wished to go for a drink”, despite being made aware of her young age, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Dorin also “said he could help her, said he had money several times and asked her to go back to his house”. The 39-year-old took hold of her hand and began to kiss it “while telling her she was attractive and pretty”.
His inappropriate behaviour then continued with him “touching her thigh on a couple of occasions” and “telling her that she had a good heart” before “using that expression as an excuse to touch her chest or her breasts”.
After leaving this location, Dorin proceeded to place his arm around the girl and embrace and kiss her before she managed to flee and take refuge in a nearby pub, prompting police to be contacted.
Dorin was on licence at the time, having been released from custody approximately two months prior in connection with a previous conviction for wounding. He was sent back to prison following his arrest.
Ken Heckle, defending, informed the court: “The defendant is originally from Syria. He came here because of the war there and is in the country legally. I do not know whether this conviction may change his status in due course.
“She was able, thankfully, to stop him doing thankfully what he was up to. She said, at one stage, that she froze on a couple of occasions. He now bitterly regrets and understands that it was wholly inappropriate.
“The defendant has been assaulted whilst in custody recently. He is missing three of his front teeth as a result of an assault quite recently within the prison.
“He has family back home, but he has no children here. The regime in Syria and the terrorism that transpires still may make it difficult for him to return there, but it is to be hoped that he can use the time usefully whilst in custody and put this matter behind him.”
Dorin, who required an interpreter during the hearing, pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault. Dressed in a blue Adidas tracksuit, he appeared in the dock on Monday and was sentenced to 18 months behind bars.
In his sentencing remarks, Judge Garrett Byrne stated: “Your behaviour was, to say the very least, sinister and wholly inappropriate. You approached [the girl], who told you she was 14, and she clearly was a young girl.
“It was 10 o’clock at night. She told you that she had been off alcohol for two years, but you offered her alcohol nevertheless. You told her not to tell her sister about you. You asked if she had family around and asked her if she had a boyfriend.
“You said ‘I can give you anything, I’ve got money, if you help me, I’ll help you’. You said that more than once. She told you to stop, but you did not. You persisted. She was clearly upset about all of this. She was a vulnerable person, and your behaviour was predatory.
“You were on licence at the time. You have a previous conviction, albeit of a different nature, but a very recent one. The location and timing are particularly aggravating features. You have no compelling mitigation.”
In addition to his prison sentence, Dorin was given a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will be obliged to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for the next decade.
