Buffalo Bills locked down in group resort simply two miles from mass capturing at Brown University forward of recreation towards Patriots
The Buffalo Bills are currently in lockdown at their team hotel just a few miles away from a deadly mass shooting on the campus of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
The team is in town ahead of a game on Sunday afternoon against the New England Patriots, which will take place at Gillette Stadium, roughly 25 miles away from the city.
All players and staff who have traveled are in their hotel and are safe, according to The Athletic. Daily Mail Sports has contacted the Bills to confirm this report.
A suspect has not yet been apprehended in the shooting that has resulted in two people being killed and at least eight injured.
The shooter remains at large hours after they entered the Barus and Holley engineering building and opened fire. The building is located in the eastern part of the city near two major Interstate highways.
Brown authorities sent out an alert at 4:22pmET telling students and faculty to shelter in place. Students at the Ivy League university are in the midst of final exams for the Fall semester.

Both the Patriots and the Bills have been communicating since the news of the shooting first broke, according to The Athletic.
The Patriots released a statement just after 7:00pm addressing the shooting, saying the team was ‘heartbroken by the horrific events at Brown University.’
‘We extend our deepest sympathies to those affected and their families, and we remain grateful to the first responders and law enforcement who acted swiftly to protect the students, faculty, staff and the community.
‘We stand with Brown University and our neighbors in Rhode Island during this difficult time.’
Officials said at a press conference at least two people lost their lives in the shooting. In a second press conference, officials said the injury toll rose to nine after a victim sustained non-life threatening injuries after being hit by ‘fragments’ of an item that was shot.
In an update from the university at 5:11pm, officials said that a suspect was not in custody and police are continuing to search for the shooter. Officials previously reported that a suspect was in custody earlier in the evening.
Police said at the press conference that the suspect opened fire inside the engineering building, and had fled the scene by the time officers arrived and swept the scene.
The suspect is described only as a ‘male in black clothing’, and remains at large. Officials said the suspect is believed to be in his 30’s and may have been wearing a ‘dark camouflage mask.’

Initial reports of a suspect being captured, and reports of a second shooting, were not true
Conflicting reports from the chaotic scene also claimed a secondary shooting occurred blocks away from the campus around an hour after the initial shooting.
Brown University said in an update that those reports were ‘unfounded.’
A heavy law enforcement response descended on the campus, and the Trump administration said FBI and ATF agents were on the scene.
Hours after the shooting took place, terrified students remained in lockdown as images surfaced on social media showing barricaded doors while the gunman remained on the loose.
Investigators have not yet recovered any weapons used in the shooting, officials said at the press conference. A source told the Associated Press investigators believe a handgun was used by the gunman
President Donald Trump said on Truth Social he had been briefed on the shooting and the FBI were on the scene.
Students reported seeing people bleeding outside, first responders performing CPR and victims being carried out on stretchers.
