University capturing sees man flee scene on video after killing two and injuring 9

A masked gunman killed two people and injured nine when he opened fire at a top university before being seen fleeing the scene in chilling CCTV footage.

Cops have launched an urgent manhunt after the gun horror at Brown University in Rhode Island, US.

The uni in Providence – one of the oldest and most prestigious in the US – was plunged into lockdown overnight as terrified students were told to take shelter.

Footage released by police late on Saturday night shows the alleged shooter moments after leaving the area where the shots rang out. He is still believed to be at large.

Officials from Rhode Island Hospital said most of the injured are in a “critical but stable” condition. The identities of those killed or injured have not yet been released by officials.

Brown University President Christina Paxson said: “This is a day that we hoped never would come to our community. It is deeply devastating for all of us.”
