BREAKING: Alleged Bondi seashore gunman Naveed Akram charged with 59 offences together with terror cost
Alleged Bondi beach gunman Naveed Akram has been charged with 59 offences, including a terror charge, New South Wales Police have said.
Naveed, 24, and his father Sajid Akram, 50, allegedly opened fire at people celebrating a Jewish Hanukkah event at the famous Sydney location, killing 15 people with many more hospitalised.
Sajid was shot dead by police, while Naveed was injured and taken into custody. He was officially charged by police after waking from a coma on Wednesday, reports news.com.au.
The charges faced by Mr Akram include 15 counts of murder, and charges of committing a terrorist act and wounding with intent to murder. He will appear in a bedside court hearing on Wednesday afternoon.
