BREAKING South Shields college pupil dies on campus as police and air ambulance swarm in

Emergency services have rushed to the scene of an incident at a South Tyneside school. Police, paramedics, and the Great North Air Ambulance Service were summoned to St Wilfrid’s RC College in South Shields just after 9.15am today.

St Wilfrid’s RC College has confirmed that a student has died after a medical emergency took place on their premises, reports Chronicle Live.

Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust, which operates the school, said: “We can confirm we have had a medical emergency on site today. We ask for your patience and understanding at this time.”

NEAS dispatched two ambulance crews, one critical care specialist paramedic, one clinical team leader to the scene.
