The ‘scrumptious’ hydration sachets utilized by England footballer Eberechi Eze

Virtue has launched a new Pink Candy Floss flavour and shoppers calling it ‘delicious’

Electrolytes are vital for our well-being, playing a key role in maintaining fluid balance and ensuring our muscles and nerves function correctly. As such, many fitness enthusiasts are turning to electrolyte hydration products to aid their training regimes.

It’s crucial to maintain the right levels of electrolytes – which can include sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium – in the body, leading to a surge in popularity for products like electrolyte sachets. Whether shoppers are runners, footballers, or simply someone looking to optimise hydration and mineral levels, there’s a wealth of options available.

One wellness brand receiving rave reviews, and backed by England footballers Eberechi Eze and Chris Smalling, is Virtue. They’ve recently launched a new limited edition flavour that shoppers are describing as ‘delicious’.

Following the successful launch of its Electrolytes Hydration range, Virtue has introduced a new Pink Candy Floss flavour. Developed as a ‘nostalgic new take on hydration’, this Pink Candy Floss flavour still delivers the same potent rehydration benefits in an exciting, ‘flavour-forward’ sachet, according to the brand. The range provides 2,540mg of electrolytes from six essential minerals, including sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, chloride and phosphorus, plus Vitamin C for immunity support, reports the Mirror.

The brand assures that these sachets contain zero sugar, zero calories, and a clean formula for everyday hydration, recovery and performance. To get the most out of these, customers should add a sachet to 500ml or more of water and give it a good stir or shake. Virtue suggests having one to two sachets daily.

As an alternative, shoppers could look to Boots, which has the Humantra Berry Pomegranate Electrolyte Powder sachets, available for £19. This is described as a ‘plant-based, zero-sugar electrolyte drink for everyday hydration’, containing six essential electrolytes. Each sachet contains sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, chloride and phosphate, the site says, and there are 15 sachets in this set.

Or there’s this six-pack of Liquid IV Electrolyte Powder Mix (Passion Fruit), available for £5.99 at Superdrug, discounted from £8.99. These are said to ‘help maintain electrolyte balance lost through exercise heat and travel’, the brand says.

Returning to the Virtue electrolytes, they’ve been a hit with customers, earning an average rating of 4.73 out of five stars. One satisfied customer raved: “Absolutely the best electrolyte I have tasted so far, definitely felt the hydration and boost straightaway, quality ingredients beat the generic brand I was previously using, will be my main electrolyte powder from now on.”

One satisfied customer gushed: “I am so glad I tried this flavour – it’s delicious and electrolytes help with my postural hypotension. Will be ordering more!!” However, not all feedback was glowing, with one user noting: “Smells really fruity but tastes quite salty.”

Another chimed in with: “Little bit salty and I prefer the lemon. Quality product for a decent price.”

Yet, the majority of reviews were positive, with another happy shopper stating: “Really tasty product with good salt levels for me. Use post-exercise to recover.”

They added: “Also have used on holiday in warm countries to keep levels up – don’t go anywhere without it! Better favour profile than some more expensive brands too.”
