A former Manchester United hero allegedly cheated on his model girlfriend who left him before having a baby with a pop megastar.
Jesse Lingard, who turned 33 on Monday, scored the winner in the 2016 FA Cup final against Crystal Palace for United, before cementing his spot in the 2018 England World Cup squad. But the attacking midfielder is currently a free agent after leaving K League club FC Seoul.
The Carrington graduate shot to fame under Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford and lived a celebrity lifestyle to match, launching his own JLingz brand and scoring off the pitch with a jaw-dropping model, Jena Frumes.
Jena, now 32, started dating Lingard in 2016, with their largely secretive relationship lasting 15 months.
However, it all fell apart not long after The Sun claimed that Lingard had slept with another woman.
The American stunner, who has also been romantically linked to Mariah Carey;s ex-husband Nick Cannon and NFL player Antonio Brown, announced their split in a since-deleted social media post
The beauty, who has five million followers on Instagram, said: “At least I can say I tried plus I enjoyed the ride. Wish you the best Jesse Lingard.”
She followed it up days later, writing: “I love Jesse to death but sometimes the timing is just off.”
In 2018, The Sun claimed the England international slept with a single mum days before celebrating his birthday with Jena.
Lingard was alleged to have wooed the woman on social media, then left her with a pair of signed boots personalised with his squad number 14 as a memento.
After leaving Lingard, Jena started a relationship with American pop star and songwriter Jason Derulo.
The Ridin Solo singer has sold more than 250 million singles worldwide including three UK number ones – In My Head, Don’t Wanna Go Home and Talk Dirty
.
The two met and quickly became smitten and welcomed a son together. But just months later in September 2021, the two went their separate ways, with Jena accusing Derulo of being ‘disrespectful’.
Speaking on the podcast In Depth With Graham Bensinger, Derulo said: “Everything happened really fast because we were all in one home, right? It kind of sped everything up.
“Whereas you go through a dating period, like, you decide like you’re going to move in like after you’ve been with somebody for years. No, it was the pandemic. She was the person that I was seeing. And were we going to pandemic separately or we might as well just coexist.”
“We shot a lot of content together and then we had conversations about having kids. I’m not the youngest guy. I was like, ‘Yeah, I want to have a kid.’ She felt the same way.
“So, it was like a slight conversation that we would have. And then one thing kind of led to another, man. It like sped things into full gear, the pandemic.”
One year after her breakup from Derulo, Jena wrote on Instagram, per People: “But maybe it’s best to be single than to be in a relationship & constantly be disrespected and lied to. Or is it better to stay quiet so people like you approve?”
