Jake Paul provides replace on damaged jaw as footage emerges of horror damage after Anthony Joshua battle
Jake Paul suffered a horrific jaw injury after being knocked out by Anthony Joshua in Miami, with the YouTuber’s teeth visibly misaligned
Jake Paul was spotted spewing blood across the ring following his knockout loss to Anthony Joshua, his teeth clearly out of alignment. The YouTube star managed to last six rounds against the former two-time heavyweight king in Miami before Joshua’s class showed with a crushing right hook that floored Paul.
Despite the battering, Paul remained upbeat, though he shared fears – since confirmed – of a broken jaw during the bout.
“I think my jaw is broken, by the way,” the 28 year old revealed afterwards. “It’s definitely broke. But that was a nice little a** whopping from one of the best to ever do it. I love this s***, but I’m going to come back and get a championship belt at some time. I’m feeling good, that was fun. I love this sport. I gave it my all, It’s f***ing crazy. I had a blast. I got my ass beat, but that’s what this sport is about. I’m going to come back and keep on winning.”
Paul subsequently posted footage of the damage on his Instagram account. He was filmed asking, “It’s fine, right?” while opening his mouth to show his misaligned jaw.
The ‘Problem Child’ then took to Instagram on Saturday morning to share an X-Ray showing a broken jaw in two places.
The bout was sluggish to get going, with jeers ringing out from the audience, reports the Express. Later, AJ confessed the knockout took longer than anticipated.
The British boxer also seized the opportunity to challenge Tyson Fury for a bout next year. “If Tyson Fury is as serious as he thinks he is and he wants to put down his Twitter fingers and put on some gloves,” he declared.
“Come and fight one of the realist fighters out there that will take on any challenger. Step in the ring with me next.
“If you’re a real bad boy. Don’t do all of that talking, ‘AJ this, AJ that.’ Let’s see you in the ring and talk with your fists.”
