Premier League star Joachim Andersen suffers horror harm as Sky Sports cameras minimize away

Premier League star Joachim Andersen suffered a horror injury during Fulham’s clash with Nottingham Forest.

Andersen started for the Cottages in the Monday Night Football – but cameras cut away when he dislocated his finger. The game was stopped as physios rushed onto the pitch help the Danish defender – who had one finger pointing in a different direction.

There was an audible groan as a replay was shown around Craven Cottage – and the subsequent image of his finger. However, Andersen simply has his finger strapped up and he was ready to continue the first-half.

“Joachim Andersen providing us with one of the less appealing images of the season there… his finger,” one fan posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Andersen will be struggling to open his presents on the big day,” a second joked. While a third said: “A stoppage here for Joachim Andersen to get his finger put back together…”

And another added: “Best move of the first half was the physio putting Andersen’s dislocated finger back in place!”

It was the final Premier League clash ahead of Christmas, and both managers were looking for an early Christmas present.

And Silva was keen to build on the Cottagers win over Fulham: “Monday – we should react. We won at Burnley after two defeats.

“The reaction of the team was good. We got back-to-back away wins.

“Now we want to do our best to get back-to-back Premier League wins. It will be demanding. Let’s hope we can end the year in a good way.”

He added: “Christmas Day we will be in [training]. It is an important day for people and their families. Some hours here, then they can spend time with their families.

“The start of the year is going to be mad. It’s the way they did the schedule – three games from the first to the seventh.”
