Wife of Jill Biden’s ex-husband dies at Delaware house ‘after cops had been known as out to home dispute’

The woman married to Jill Biden‘s ex-husband was pronounced dead at her home after police were allegedly called to a domestic dispute at the address.

Linda Stevenson died aged 64 at the property in Oak Hill, Delaware, late Sunday night, TMZ reported.

Linda, whose husband Bill Stevenson was married to the former first lady between 1970 and 1975, was discovered unresponsive in the living room.

New Castle County Police Department are now investigating whether Stevenson’s death was the result of a criminal act.

An autopsy will be carried out to determine how Stevenson died with 911 call audio obtained by TMZ mentioning a cardiac arrest.

No further details have been given about the alleged domestic dispute or who it involved.

Bill previously told the Daily Mail how he and Jill were still married when she began seeing the future president in 1975

A domestic domestic dispute in the 1300 block of Idlewood Road in the Oak Hill neighborhood was reported to New Castle County Police around 11.16pm.

Linda was found when police entered the home, according to law enforcement.

She was given life-saving measures by officers but did not survive and was declared dead.

A police spokesman added: ‘Detectives from the division’s criminal investigations unit were notified and responded to the scene to assume the investigation.’

As of Tuesday afternoon, there have been no charges filed in relation to Linda’s passing.

Her husband Bill married Jill Jacobs, later Biden, in 1970.

Two years later, he said, the couple were working on then-New Castle County Councilman Joe Biden’s first campaign for the Senate.

‘I gave $10,900 to his first campaign — in cash,’ he told the Daily Mail.

Bill said he first suspected Biden and his then-wife Jill were having an affair in August 1974.  At the time, he was 26, Jill was 23 and Joe was 31.

He said: ‘I know exactly when it was. Bruce Springsteen was going to play at The Stone Balloon and I had to go to Northern New Jersey to pay him in advance.

‘I asked Jill to go with me and she said no — she had things to do, she had to look after Joe’s kids, Beau and Hunter. It was kind of a big deal to go meet Springsteen. I had no idea she and Joe were that kind of friendly.

‘Then one of her best friends told me she thought Joe and Jill were getting a little too close. I was surprised that she came to me.’

Bill and Jill divorced in May 1975, which he said had a silver lining.

‘If it wasn’t for my divorce, I would never have met my wife Linda and she’s the greatest thing in my life,’ he told the Daily Mail.
