Fulham star’s X-rated response to Harrison Reed surprise objective vs Liverpool speaks for itself
Fulham secured a late draw against Liverpool in spectacular fashion and the reaction from one Cottagers’ star summed up the enormity of the strike.
Fulham captain Tom Cairney was caught on camera heralding Harrison Reed’s stunning equaliser against Liverpool with an X-rated response.
The Cottagers took the lead with an emphatic finish from former Red – Harry Wilson – who drove an unstoppable, left-footed strike past Allison into the bottom corner. Florian Wirtz then narrowly beat the offside trap after some great work from Conor Bradley and slotted his second Premier League goal past Bernd Leno.
Some colourful language would have been heard around Craven Cottage in the 94th minute when Cody Gakpo bundled in Jeremie Frimpong’s vicious cross in at the back-post. But the ones left cursing at the end of the game were the defending Premier League champions.
Sky Sports discounted Premier League and EFL package

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle for the 2025/26 season, saving members £336 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.
Sky will show at least 215 live Premier League games this season, an increase of up to 100 more.
Arne Slot’s squad looked set to open up a six-point lead over fifth-placed Chelsea after the Dutchman’s goal. There appeared to be little danger when Reed received a pass 30-yards from goal.
He took a couple of paces forward and lashed a rocket into the top right-hand corner to send the Cottage crazy. It was his first Premier League goal since April 2023, when he scored in a 3-1 away victory over Everton.
The only person who was perhaps more stunned than Reed himself was captain Cairney. After the game, the west Londoners skipper walked up to Reed and was caught on camera asking: “What the f*** was that?”
Incredibly, Reed had only been on the pitch for a minute when he found the top corner. Moreover, he has also only played seven minutes of Premier League football all year for the west Londoners.
This may go some way to explaining Cairney’s simultaneous joy and shock. It may also encapsulate the mood and positivity within Silva’s side at present.
They have surged up to 11th and are now only six-points away from the top four. Fulham are unbeaten in their last five matches, taking 11 out of a possible 15 points.
Meanwhile, Liverpool were left ruing their opportunity to further solidify their place in the top four. They went into the game three-points ahead of Chelsea in fifth. Reed’s last minute screamer means they ended the weekend in the same place they started, as Chelsea secured a last-minute 1-1 away draw against Manchester City.
After losing six out of seven matches between the end of September, and late November, Liverpool are unbeaten in their last eight Premier League games. Reacting to the late equaliser, Slot said: “It was an incredible shot. When it was 1-1 we made an offensive substitution with Federico Chiesa, trying to win the game.
“We were 2-1 up and having to defend the long for a win – which we expected – we brought Joe Gomez because he’s very good for the air, but they didn’t take it long they took it short, and it was an incredible strike. Not for the first time this season where we concede in the final seconds of the game a goal.”
Fulham host Chelsea, who are still yet to replace the sacked Enzo Maresca, on January 7, while Liverpool travel to the Emirates Stadium to face Premier League table-toppers Arsenal.
