Man who carried out golden bathe from bar balcony onto passers-by learns his destiny

A New York advertising executive who was arrested for urinating on several victims from a rooftop bar has learnt his fate.

Matthew Day, 30, will only perform community service and be prohibited from using “alcohol or mind altering substances” as part of a deal struck with prosecutors, court records show.

A judge has approved a pre-trial intervention agreement between Day and the State Attorney’s office after the man’s 1am aerial assault at a St. Petersburg, Florida nightspot. Day was nabbed in July for disorderly conduct at The Landing bar, “an elevated Hang Out, Balcony Bar.”

Authorities alleged that Day “entered the rooftop bar, pulled his penis out of his shorts, and urinated from the balcony onto the sidewalk.” As a result, “several passers-by were struck with urine.”

Police said Day showed an “indication of alcohol influence” upon arrest after his golden shower, reports Smoking Gun.

Day has now accepted responsibility for the misdemeanour crime and will perform 50 hours of community service, undergo “alcohol evaluation and counselling,” and pay supervision and prosecution fees.

Day is also barred from bars and clubs during the agreement’s six-month term.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Day is a Penn State graduate who co-founded Ribeye Media in 2023 and is the firm’s “Head of Client Success.”

The New York Adtech company is a “unified ad workflow platform built for local media” that helps “broadcasters and media sales organizations plan, execute, and report digital advertising.”

Day is a resident of Hoboken, New Jersey, according to his LinkedIn page, which originally contained his full name. However, post-arrest, it has been shortened to just “Matthew D.”
