‘Jeopardy!’ Host Ken Jennings’ Fiery Post About Trump ‘Regime’ Makes His Feelings About MAGA Pretty Clear

We’ll take “Anti-MAGA Celebrities” for $200, Ken.

On Wednesday, Ken Jennings got pretty spicy — at least by “Jeopardy!” standards — when he published a post on Bluesky that very clearly expressed his feelings about President Donald Trump’s “regime.”

The game show host’s candid take came amid a reposting spree in which he shared several posts that condemned the Department of Homeland Security after an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent fatally shot and killed 37-year-old Minneapolis mother Renee Good that same day. DHS has characterized Good as one of several “violent rioters” who were blocking ICE officers during a targeted operation, and that she “weaponized her vehicle” in an attempt to run over an officer. Videos of the incident, however, indicate that Good was trying to reverse her car and flee the scene when an officer shot at her several times.

“The ‘prosecute the former regime at every level’ candidate has my vote in 2028,” Jennings wrote.

Earlier in the day, Jennings also published: “America is always like ‘ok but the NEXT regime change will work,’ like when I ‘cut out carbs’ briefly every January.”

Jennings also shared several other posts that implied that the ICE shooting was his tipping point.

Nestled between both Jennings’ hot takes on his Bluesky account is a post by writer Kashana Cauley that reads, “They spent all that time complaining about crime in cities so they could implement their solution of killing people in cities.”

Other posts Jennings shared on Wednesday include one posted by Bloomberg’s Daniel Nichanian, which included a quote about Good from her mother. Another repost includes a screenshot of a Minnesota Star Tribune article about local child care centers reporting that ICE agents were showing up at their facilities.

And although Jennings made his anti-Trump stance apparent, he also made his dislike for doom-and-gloom takes about the future of the U.S. transparent as well.

On Wednesday, Jennings also shared one Bluesky user’s response to his post about whom he intends to vote for in 2028.

The user’s response was: “If there’s even an election in 2028.”

Jennings reacted to this kind of take as “tactically wrong.”

“‘No point discussing political opposition to fascism, there won’t be elections anyway’ cedes victory to your enemies. It’s defeatism and nihilism,” he said.

He added: “It’s totally understandable if you’re dooming about any facet of the American experiment right now. So your feelings are ‘valid’ in the sense that they represent real anxiety, and I get that. But to vent that anxiety in other people’s spaces is wrong…”

Jennings making his left-leaning ideology abundantly clear online may come as a shock to some, but the former “Jeopardy!” champ has a history of sharing his liberal stances on social media.

He’s expressed his support for progressive lawmakers like Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.). He also mocked an “awful MAGA grandma” on X, when it was Twitter, in 2018.

After former host Alex Trebek died in November 2020 — and Jennings’ name began to be thrown around as a candidate for the next host — Jennings attempted to apologize for some of his “unartful and insensitive” tweets he published over the years.

Since officially getting the hosting gig in 2022, Jennings has been much quieter about politics on social media, but, considering that he shared another anti-Trump post on Bluesky Thursday, this might just signify that he just doesn’t give a damn about being bipartisan anymore.
