Anti-ICE protester experiences justice Florida-style after she was accused of punching state trooper in face
A Florida woman protesting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was immediately arrested after she punched a state trooper in the face, according to officials.
Jennifer Cruz, of Jacksonville, was taken into custody around 8.30am on Tuesday after she got out of her car and struck an officer in the face, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said in a post on X.
Cruz, who was seen smirking as officers placed her in handcuffs, ‘disagrees with immigration enforcement,’ Uthmeier said before taking a pointed jab at Minnesota amid the escalation of anti-ICE protests in the state after Renee Good’s death.
‘But unlike Minnesota, we don’t put up with this nonsense. Not today, Jennifer,’ Uthmeier said, seemingly implying that officials in the Midwest state let violence against federal agents go while authorities in Florida have a strict no-nonsense policy.
During her arrest, Cruz was also seen kicking and screaming at officers as they tried to place her in a squad car.
The woman, dressed in black pants and a red sweatshirt, was heard chuckling as she screamed: ‘Weak a** motherf***er’ at the cops while they tried to wrangle inside the vehicle.
She was then seen lying down inside the backseat of the car before she lifted her head up and kicked the cop handling her.
Another one then jumped in to help as an officer said: ‘Don’t you dare start kicking me!’

Cruz was then tasered as officers got her body in the car and slammed the door shut.
Uthmeier said Cruz committed ‘a few felonies,’ though it is unclear what she has been charged with and if she is still in custody.
The Daily Mail contacted Uthmeier’s office for comment.
Cruz’s arrest comes just about a month after a gang of Philadelphia teens accused of robbing a Dick’s Sporting Goods store in the Sunshine State were named and shamed by a no-nonsense sheriff.
Members of the eight-strong mob were arrested and hit with felony charges after their alleged December 6 theft spree – something they may not have expected in their Pennsylvania home city, whose district attorney is a notoriously woke prosecutor called Larry Krasner.
The teenagers are members of the United Thoroughbreds football team, and were in Davenport to face the Coco Tigers team for the Prolifix Sportz National Championship.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd mocked the gang at a press conference in early December, saying their alleged spree cost their team the championship game after their arrests meant they missed the showdown.

‘I don’t know if these were starters or not, but we were finishers,’ Judd said.

The youths were arrested at the store and had to travel back from Florida to Philadelphia to face felony charges. While they were in jail, their team lost the championship game 26-6.
The latest arrest in Florida comes as mayhem continues in Minnesota.
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey slammed ICE agents for ‘creating chaos’ in his city on Wednesday night after an agent who was ‘ambushed’ during an arrest shot a suspect in the leg.
The Department of Homeland Security said the suspect was an illegal migrant from Venezuela who ran away on foot before joining two others to attack the agent with a ‘broomstick or shovel.’
The suspect was shot in the leg and remains in a stable condition in the hospital. Two accomplices were also in police custody, and the agent involved was also taken to the hospital after he was violently set upon by the trio.

Law enforcement officers wearing masks were using tear gas and flash bangs on protesters at the scene, just 4.5 miles north of where Good was shot, in an effort to control the crowds.
Frey urged protesters who had arrived at the scene to ‘go home’, warning they were making matters worse and ‘taking the bait.’
‘For anyone who is taking the bait tonight: stop,’ he said at a late-night press conference to address the second ICE shooting to rock his city in a week.
‘It is not helpful. Go home. We cannot counter Donald Trump’s chaos with our own chaos.
‘You are not helping the undocumented immigrants in our city, you are not helping the people who call this place home.’
