Women go bra-free with £15 alt that leaves them ‘assured and free’
“Such a good product – invisible under clothes, fit well, stay secure and mean you can go bra-less without risk of [being] Rachel from Friends”
When putting together outfits for packed social calendars, many women know the right bra can make or break an outfit. But for those ditching traditional bras – and who don’t want to go fully natural – nipple covers can be a total lifesaver and avoid the dreaded ‘Rachel from Friends’ moment.
And while these budget-friendly alternatives are great for outfits where a regular bra doesn’t cut it, they don’t always deliver. From slipping mid-dance to failing to stay put in warmer temps, cheap options can quickly turn into a fashion fail. But one brand, Jolene, is gaining praise from shoppers for its Premium Nipple Covers, which are hailed for actually staying in place and avoiding those all-too-familiar mishaps..
The nipple covers usually cost £24.95 but are reduced to £14.95 for a limited time and come in four different shades, Ivory, Almond, Caramel or Mocha They claim to have a smooth, invisible finish, perfect for those tricky outfits, and with this in mind it’s no surprise that the UK based Jolene is a female-founded brand.

What’s more is it reportedly donates 10% of its profits to breast cancer charities. From satin slip dresses and sequin tops to structured tailoring and bridesmaid dresses, they promise to stay secure all night, according to the brand. Boasting a stay-put adhesive, they’re touted as sweat-resistant and gentle on sensitive skin too – which is a real game changer.
Each pair can be reused up to 25 times, the brand claims, with each cover crafted from medical-grade silicone that is hypoallergenic and kind to sensitive skin. Those who have purchased them have lauded how well they stay in place, not to mention their smooth finish that avoids the ‘Rachel Green’ look – referencing Friends, the 90s sitcom in which Jennifer Aniston’s character Rachel Green often inadvertently shows the outline of her nipples through her outfits.
Jolene Premium Silicone Nipple Covers

The Jolene Premium Silicone Nipple Covers are reusable and come in four different colours.
For those seeking alternatives, however, Boots offers the Eylure Nipple Covers for £7, reports the Mirror. These are crafted from silicone and can be reused up to 10 times, with the site touting them as ‘wonderfully comfortable’.
Alternatively, shoppers have loved LookFantastic’s brushworks Silicone Nipple Covers, which are cheaper at £4.99.
Reusable and waterproof, they are smooth and discreet under clothing, according to the brand. That being said, it’s important to note that one shopper did share: “It does the job, stays on, and doesn’t feel like it’s ripping your skin when it’s removed – but I feel you could see the edge of the cover through clothes – could just be the clothing I was trying them with though.”
Although the Jolene nipples covers have garnered hundreds of 5-star reviews on the website, boasting an impressive average rating of 4.89 out of five stars, showcasing their reliability.
One reviewer raved: “Such a good product – invisible under clothes, fit well, stay secure and mean you can go bra-less without risk of Rachel from Friends nipples! (Unless you want to! )”.
Another penned: “These are incredible and have given me such freedom in my outfit choices!”
Meanwhile, someone else stated: “Very happy with this product having tried many others. Excellent service all round.”
However, one user noted that although they were “very comfortable” to wear, they “are a little painful to remove”. Another remarked: “The only issue is the glue covers the whole of the cover, so you have to be very careful when taking off as they also stick very well to the nipple itself.”
That being said, one fan of the covers added: “Highly recommend these nipple covers. One of the best I have used so far.”
The Jolene nipples covers are available on the brand’s site.
