Donald Trump faces well being questions after folks discover a change to his hand

Observers at the World Economic Forum in Davos noticed something different about the bruising on Trump’s hand after he delivered his speech

Donald Trump is facing fresh questions about his health after people noticed a change to the bruising on his hands.

The US President has acknowledged bruising to his right hand, which he often covers up with sticking plasters and makeup. The White House said was from “frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin.”

But images captured at the World Economic Forum in Davos, which Trump attended, reveal the bruising is now also present on his left hand. Trump shakes hands with his right, which makes it unlikely the bruising to his left has anything to do with handshakes.

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal earlier this month, Trump admitted he takes more aspirin than his doctors recommend. But he said he has resisted taking less because he’s been taking it for 25 years and said he is “a little superstitious.”

Trump takes 325 milligrams of aspirin daily, according to his doctor – that’s about four times the usual dose for someone his age. “They say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood, and I don’t want thick blood pouring through my heart,” Trump said. “I want nice, thin blood pouring through my heart. Does that make sense?”

Asked about the new bruise, the White House said: “At the Board of Peace event today in Davos, President Trump hit his hand in the corner of the signing table, causing it to bruise.”

Leavitt put the bruising down to handshaking at a press briefing last month.

“The president is literally constantly shaking hands,” she said. “The Oval Office is like Grand Central terminal. He is meeting with more people than any of you know about on a daily basis.”

She went on: “He’s also on a daily aspirin regimen which is something his physical examinations have said in the past can contribute to that bruising that you see.”

Leavitt was also asked to clarify when Trump took the three cognitive tests he claims to have “aced”. She said she did not have the dates to hand, but would return with an answer at a later time. She has yet to do so.

Trump went on a lengthy Truth Social rant last month, seemingly in response to The New York Times’ reports that Trump, 79 is slowing down a bit. After apparently confirming that he’d taken another “Cognitive Examination” – this time “in front of large numbers of doctors and experts, most of whom I do not know” – which he “ACED” – he turned his fire against the newspaper.

“Despite all of this, the time and work involved, The New York Times, and some others, like to pretend that I am “slowing up,” am maybe not as sharp as I once was, or am in poor physical health, knowing that it is not true, and knowing that I work very hard, probably harder than I have ever worked before,” he wrote.

“I will know when I am “slowing up,” but it’s not now! After all of the work I have done with Medical Exams, Cognitive Exams, and everything else, I actually believe it’s seditious, perhaps even treasonous, for The New York Times, and others, to consistently do FAKE reports in order to libel and demean “THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.”

He has frequently referred to the cognitive tests he says he has “aced.” During a speech in North Carolina last month, he said: “The first question is like what is this and they show a lion, giraffe, fish and a hippopotamus. And they say which is the giraffe.”

The Mirror has reviewed several versions of the cognitive test Trump was talking about, and none of them features a giraffe.
