Hero Barron Trump calls cops from US after seeing lady ‘getting badly beat up’ on FaceTime

Court hears Barron Trump, 19, called 999 from America after allegedly witnessing a woman being attacked during FaceTime call, with victim telling jury he ‘saved her life’

A British woman has testified in court that Donald Trump’s youngest son Barron “saved her life” after he witnessed her being brutally assaulted during a FaceTime call and contacted 999.

Barron Trump, 19, was speaking to the woman in January 2025 when he allegedly observed her ex-boyfriend attacking her, an east London court has been told.

Barron telephoned emergency services from America, with the US President’s son alerting police to the assault allegedly taking place on the other side of the Atlantic.

Her former partner, 22-year-old ex-MMA fighter Matvei Rumiantsev, is presently standing trial for alleged assaults on the woman.

The Russian-born east London resident has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him, which include assault, actual bodily harm, two counts of rape, intentional strangulation and perverting the course of justice, reports the Mirror.

Prosecutors claim Rumiantsev became consumed with jealous fury over the woman’s friendship with Barron on the evening in question, with the call on January 18 last year allegedly triggering the violent episode.

The court was told Rumiantsev allegedly seized her by the hair, forced her to the ground, screamed “you are not worth anything”, struck her in the stomach with his foot and hurled several misogynistic insults at her.

Jurors listened to Barron’s 999 call, during which he urged the operator: “It’s really an emergency, please. I got a call from her with a guy beating her up.”

The emergency service operator implored him to respond appropriately, stating: “Can you stop being rude and actually answer my questions… If you want to help the person, you’ll answer my questions clearly and precisely.”

Barron responded: “I met her on social media. She’s getting really badly beat up and the call was about eight minutes ago, I don’t know what could have happened by now.”

He later apologised: “So sorry for being rude.”

Police were dispatched to the location, with bodycam footage shown in court capturing officers arriving and questioning the woman, as reported by the Daily Mail. They informed her that an anonymous caller from the US had raised the alarm.

She then revealed to the officers: “I am friends with Barron Trump, Donald Trump’s son.”

One officer was overheard telling a colleague: “So apparently this informant from America is likely to be Donald Trump’s son.”

With the police at the scene, the woman rang Barron back. In the video presented to the jury, he recounted: “She called me. I picked up the phone expecting a nice hello or something. I just saw a ceiling and could hear screaming. I could see a guy’s head on the phone, and then the camera turns to her crying and getting hit.”

Barron stated that the call lasted between 10 and 15 seconds before it cut off, prompting him to dial 999. “I called you guys – that was the best thing I could do,” he explained to the officers.

“I wasn’t going to call back and threaten things to him because that would just make the situation worse.”

In court, the woman stated: “He helped save my life. That call was like a sign from God at that moment.”

The court was informed that the couple had been together for approximately six months and that Rumiantsev had assaulted her, including strangulation, following an argument. Months later, she lodged additional complaints, alleging she had been raped twice – once in November 2024 and again just hours before police arrived at his flat on January 18.

He is also accused of attempting to coerce her into retracting her allegations.

Rumiantsev’s barrister, Sasha Wass KC, questioned the woman’s testimony in court, according to Metro. Wass accused the woman of concocting her claims and argued that the defendant had only restrained her after she acted “in an angry and violent way” towards him.

“You invented this wholly untrue and fabricated account that he raped you on those two occasions – you were never raped,” the barrister told her.

The woman responded: “I didn’t invent that. That would be completely evil and disgraceful toward people who have been in that situation.”

The trial continues.
