Dad shunned for horrible tooth is now combating ladies off after unbelievable transformation
A British dad who endured years of bullying, rejection, and pain due to his severely damaged teeth has undergone a dramatic transformation after flying to Turkey
An unfortunate British dad had such terrible teeth that women said they “wouldn’t be seen dead” with him. However the tooth-troubled man has since received a brand new set of gnashers in Turkey, and is now said to be fighting the ladies off.
Johnathon Pratt, 35, a single full-time dad of two from Halifax,, has struggled with severe tooth problems throughout his life. The issues have sometimes left him in so much pain that he couldn’t eat for several days at a time.
While at school, and throughout his adult life, Johnathon was bullied by peers. He also struggled to date because of how his teeth looked.
Girls refused to date him, telling him they wouldn’t be seen dead with him, while others have called him “horse mouth”. Nevertheless, this all changed in January 2026.
Johnathon consequently decided to take a plane to Turkey and have all of his teeth removed and replaced with dental implants. The procedure involves removing existing teeth and inserting metal posts, usually made out of titanium, into the jawbone.
After these have healed, the new teeth are fitted. “Before I had surgery, my teeth used to depress me,” Johnathon said.
He continued: “I couldn’t eat properly because I was in constant pain, which would affect my talking, and I would never smile or go anywhere. I have been bullied most of my life, called names, and missed out on opportunities.
“I’ve been called horse mouth for years. I was even told I could eat an apple through a tennis racket.
“It even put me off trying to date. I’ve had a few dates where I used to just get told straight, your teeth are awful and I wouldn’t be seen dead with you.”
The cost of replacing all of Johnathon’s teeth in the UK would have cost him close to £35,000, making the surgery impossible for him in his current circumstances. However, after researching other options, Jonathan came across a clinic in Turkey where he could have dental implants for less than a third of the price he’d been quoted in the UK.
“Turkey for me was the only option. I had looked at getting it done in the UK, and I was getting quotes well over £35,000,” Johnathon revealed.
He further stated: “The total cost of my surgery in Turkey was just shy of £9,500. This was a massive factor in my decision to come to Turkey.
“I can’t even say it was painful, as they used a numbing spray before even administering injections. The swelling was probably the most difficult part and lasted around five days.
“The whole procedure was fantastic, it took around 2 hours and 45 minutes from start to finish.” The surgery has given Johnathon a new lease of life, significantly boosting his confidence.
He’s even noticed more attention from the ladies, though he is insists he isn’t looking to date right now, and is focused on raising his two young children, Lawrence, 11, and Luciana, nine. “I love the way I look now,” Johnathon admitted.
He said: “I am getting a lot more attention, however I am just happy with it being me and my kids for now. I still look in the mirror and tear up.
“It feels better than winning the lottery. People look at me like a normal person, and it’s amazing.”
Deciding to have any kind of surgery shouldn’t be taken lightly. Johnathon spent 12 months researching clinics and patients’ experiences before deciding on his procedure.
When asked about what advice he would give to anyone else considering a similar surgery, his main message is not to let fear hold you back. “The only advice I can really give is don’t be scared,” Johnathon shared.
“It will change your life for the better. I just wish I had known about this a long time ago.”
