Stunned NFL followers rage as Shedeur Sanders is awarded ‘undeserved’ finish of season honor

Despite only playing in eight games and throwing more interceptions than touchdowns in his rookie campaign, Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders has been named as a replacement to the Pro Bowl.

Sanders, a fifth-round draft pick to Cleveland, will take part in the festivities the week of the Super Bowl in California.

His selection to the Pro Bowl is baffling, considering he was a third-string quarterback to start the season and he wasn’t statistically dominant – throwing for just 1,400 yards while tossing seven touchdowns and ten interceptions.

But Sanders is now officially the first rookie fifth-round draft pick to make the Pro Bowl since Rams wideout Puka Nacua did so in 2023.

Sanders has been named an alternate to replace Drake Maye, who will compete with the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX against the Seattle Seahawks

Almost instantly, fan sentiment was negative after the son of Deion Sanders was picked over the likes of Trevor Lawrence, Aaron Rodgers, Cam Ward or any of the other more statistically prominent AFC quarterbacks.
