‘Explicit content material made me extra Christian’ – grownup star reveals Mary Magdalene kinks
Summer Robert, a Glasgow model and adult content creator, is challenging religious stereotypes by openly embracing her Christian faith, attending mass, donating to charity, and praying nightly
Summer Robert is the kind of woman who will talk about God, adult content platforms, and the Glasgow homeless crisis in the same breath — and somehow it all makes sense. She wears a cross with the same confidence she wears a low-cut top, and she can go from talking about charity work to Mary Magdalene kinks without blinking.
She’s also the last person you’d expect to find sitting in a pew every Sunday morning. “People think it’s the weirdest thing ever that I love God,” Summer said. “Like, I do [adult content], but I’m also the girl who prays every single night.”
Summer didn’t grow up religious.
In fact, she grew up surrounded by many different religions. She said: “I’ve got two dads and one mum.
“One dad’s a Southern Baptist from Nashville, my other dad’s Muslim, and my mum’s pagan. She literally believes trees control the world.”
Despite all the different belief systems swirling around her, Summer says she always felt like God was there. She said: “I can’t even tell you why.
“I really love God”
“I just always believed. Even as a kid.
“Even when no one around me was doing anything religious.” Now she goes to mass every Sunday.
She admitted: “I know it sounds weird. Like, ‘How can she love God and do [adult content]?’
“But I really love God. I really do.
“Doing [adult content] actually made me more religious.” Summer knows exactly how people react to that sentence.
“Oh, people are gonna hate that,” she laughs. “But it’s true.”
Summer added: “When I first started [adult content] two years ago, I think I subconsciously felt like if I was breaking a rule, I should probably go to church more. Like, make sure I’m still doing good things.”
She says she never felt guilty about her content, but she felt guilty about how people would perceive it. Summer continued: “I don’t think God is up there like, ‘Oh no, bikini photos, she’s not getting into heaven.’
“I think He’s just some guy who loves me. A chiller.”
“I pray every night”
“But people? They judge way more than God ever would.”
The model further stated: “I’ve given thousands to the church and to the homeless. But people still call me a slut.
“I pray every night. I donate regularly to my church.
“I give to homeless people constantly. Glasgow has a massive homelessness problem, and I’m always giving back.”
And then there’s the charity work she does at Christmas — soup kitchens, donations, whatever’s needed. Summer said: “It just makes me feel better knowing I’m helping people.
“You know, when you’ve got money and you’re just sitting on it, and there are people out there literally struggling or dying, it just feels good to give.”
“I don’t do drugs or drink alcohol”
But despite being, in her words, “a perfect Christian except for the boobs”, she says the criticism is harsh. Summer admitted: “If people call me a whore, whatever.
“I don’t care. But when they question my religion, that annoys me.
“They want me to stop being religious because it doesn’t fit in their tiny idea of what a Christian should be. I don’t do drugs or drink alcohol.
“I just love how church makes me feel”
“I don’t even drink caffeine or soft drinks. Without [adult content] I’m basically the perfect Christian.
“So why can’t I do it, when half the people judging me are doing way worse?” Summer said: “Mary Magdalene was a prostitute and Jesus loved her.
“So what’s the difference between me and her? In Scotland, no one cares.
“You can go out, do cocaine and drink on Saturday night, then go to church the next day and no one cares. I just love how church makes me feel.
“That’s an abomination”
“It honestly makes you feel so good about yourself. But in America?
“Oh my god, they’re obsessed with judging you. I’ve been told to cover up constantly.
“When I’m in Nashville, I go to Baptist churches because my family are Baptists, and every time I go, it’s always, ‘Don’t wear low-cut tops.’” For Summer, it isn’t easy to cover up, with size O boobs that are still growing, it’s hard to find clothes that fully cover her breasts.
“My boobs exist”
She recalls going on an American podcast where, the moment filming started, a woman turned and said: “‘That’s an abomination. You’re wearing a cross and you’ve got your tits out.’”
Summer rolls her eyes retelling it. She said: “Like, what do you want me to do?
“Wear a turtleneck in LA in summer? My boobs exist.
“My pastor knows”
“They’re not going anywhere. My pastor knows I do [adult content] and he didn’t kick me out.
“I was scared, I didn’t want it to come out and then get kicked out of the church.” But his response shocked her.
She recalled: “He said, ‘This might not fit with the church, but if it’s part of your journey right now, then it’s part of your journey.’ It was honestly the best thing he could’ve said.
“Mary Magdalene kink”
“People who are genuinely religious are way more accepting than the fake ones who just want to judge everyone.” Summer said a lot of her subscribers are religious — and they love that she is too.
“So many of them are into Mary Magdalene kink,” she laughed. “I’ve done it.
“They want me in the white dress with the blue shawl, being like ‘I’m pure,’ and all that. It’s hilarious.”
“Christians are the kinkiest”
She continued: “Christians are the kinkiest people ever. If God didn’t want me doing this, He wouldn’t have given me big boobs.”
But even with the chaos, Summer genuinely loves her faith. Summer admitted: “I just love church.
“I love God. I love the community.
“I love how it makes me feel. People think church is boring, but it’s honestly so fun.”
“I’ll get baptised soon. I want to do it properly. I’m not baptised yet.
“I’ve taken the wafer once, accidentally, and everyone looked at me like I’d committed a crime. But I want to do it properly.
“I want to be baptised for real.” She laughsed: “I’ll probably have to do it with all the kids.
“That’ll be embarrassing. But I don’t care.” Summer concluded: “Honestly, If you’re hating on me, you’re not religious.
“God didn’t make you a b***h, You did that yourself. And if Mary Magdalene was good enough for Jesus, then I’m good enough too.”
