Two men are on the run after threatening staff and stealing a safe from a Sydney CBD hotel.
The pair robbed the Novotel on Little Pier Street at Haymarket at about 5.40am on Monday.
One of the men is understood to have been armed.
They then fled in a stolen 2013-model Volvo station wagon that has the licence plate number CJZ 08Z.
The vehicle was reported stolen from Petersham on January 23.
NSW Police has released a description of both men, who had their faces covered.
One of them was wearing a grey jumper and grey tracksuit pants, and the second a dark-coloured jumper and dark tracksuit pants.
Locals have been urged to not approach the men and contact Triple-Zero immediately.
