Cops ‘trying into’ declare a second Epstein sufferer was ‘trafficked to UK for sex with Andrew’
Authorities are “assessing information” about a second woman who was allegedly sent to the UK by Jeffrey Epstein for a sexual encounter with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in 2010, with the former royal consistently denying any wrongdoing
Thames Valley Police has confirmed it is “assessing the information” following reports by the BBC that a second woman has alleged Jeffrey Epstein sent her to the UK for a sexual encounter with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The alleged incident is said to have taken place at the former prince’s home, Royal Lodge, in 2010, with the non-British woman reportedly in her twenties at the time. The woman’s lawyer Brad Edwards had told BBC News: “We’re talking about at least one woman who was sent by Jeffrey Epstein over to Prince Andrew.”
Former royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently denied any allegations against him. Thames Valley Police issued a statement saying they were “aware of reports about a woman said to have been taken to an address in Windsor in 2010 for sexual purposes. We are assessing the information in line with our established procedures.”
The force added: “We take any reports of sexual crimes extremely seriously and encourage anyone with information to come forward.
“At this time, these allegations have not been reported to Thames Valley Police by either the lawyer or their client.”
Anti-monarchy campaign group Republic has previously said it reported Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to police over claims “he was involved in the trafficking of a woman to the UK for sex”.
It comes as police are set to launch a criminal investigation into Lord Peter Mandelson. Earlier, Downing Street revealed the Cabinet Office had handed material to officers following an examination of the Epstein documents.
The review discovered they held “likely market sensitive information” and official security protocols had been “compromised” in the wake of the 2008 financial meltdown.
Correspondence published on Friday hinted the Labour stalwart may have leaked market-sensitive intelligence to Epstein whilst serving as Business Secretary under Gordon Brown.
The Prime Minister’s official spokesman declared: “An initial review of the documents released in relation to Jeffrey Epstein by the US Department of Justice has found that they contain likely market sensitive information surrounding the 2008 financial crash and official activities thereafter to stabilise the economy.”
