Influencer tries McDonald’s ‘secret secret’ menu and divulges weird fan favorite combo

Influencer Ruben Owen tried the wild McDonald’s combination of hash browns and Oreo McFlurry at an exclusive London event – and he loved it, but sadly it’s not available to the public

A social media influencer has sampled McDonald’s ‘secret secret’ menu and spilled the beans on the bonkers fan-favourite combo that’s got everyone talking.

Ruben Owen reckons the quirky creation deserves a permanent spot on the regular menu. The sweet-meets-savoury sensation? Two golden hash browns stuffed with Oreo McFlurry in between, according to What’s the Jam.

In footage that’s clocked up more than 4,000 views, he dishes out his verdict. “That’s not that bad,” the 24 year old from North Wales admitted. “I thought it was going to be horrible. I’d have that again.”

The peculiar pairing wasn’t the only oddball creation at the Shoreditch bash in London earlier this month.

Another concoction featured a hearty tower of cheeseburger, barbecue sauce and chicken nuggets.

Ruben confessed: “I’d never choose this but that’s not that bad.”

However, his standout champion? The pudding-packed breakfast treat.

He gushed: “The hash browns, the McFlurry, that was really nice. I would never ever have done that one. But I tell you know, that, I’ll be doing again.”

This isn’t the first occasion the duo has been matched up, with numerous content creators championing the combo across social platforms.

Back in 2023, reports emerged of it gaining traction as a viral craze. Unfortunately, neither creation will ever grace public menus – leaving Ruben amongst the fortunate few to experience them firsthand.
