Andrew wants escort to get into his home as workers go on strike in humiliating new blow

The disgraced ex-prince can only enter his house with an escort after being told by the King he needs to make an official appointment to return for his stuff after being booted out of Royal Lodge

Disgraced Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been banned from going back into his old house alone. The shamed ex-prince must let aides know when he is returning to Royal Lodge for the rest of his stuff after being booted out by his angry brother, King Charles.

Ordinary Andy – stripped of all his titles and honours by the King in October – left Royal Lodge in a hurry on Tuesday evening, leaving behind many of his belongings that have not already been placed into storage.

The Mirror reports he will have to return to collect them, but may only do so after making an official request and appointment. One insider said: “It’s the latest in a long line of indignities for him.

“The King was not amused in the slightest that his brother was seen out riding in Windsor and driving around the estate, waving to passers by, while the Epstein scandal was reaching more depths over the last few days.

“Andrew has left quite a lot of belongings behind, so he will have to return and collect them, but may only do so by strict appointment.”

And in another humiliating blow, royal servants at his new gaff Sandringham despite have already got into revolt despite him only being there for a matter of days.

Staff have been told by bosses on the King’s Norfolk estate that they can reject serving Andrew if it makes them feel uncomfortable. A source told the Sun on Wednesday that the number of staff who are refusing to work for him is already a “long list”.

It comes after Ghislaine Maxwell admitted the infamous photo of Andrew with his arm around his sex abuse accuser Virginia Giuffre is real.

He was booted out his home and lost his royal status when Virginia’s posthumous memoirs were published, in which she accused him of sexually abusing her three times. Andrew strenuously denies the claims.

But he and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson feature in the release of more damning files about his convicted paedo pal Jeffrey Epstein, which has lead to police assessing claims he trafficked a second women to the UK.

Andrew is staying at Sandringham’s Wood Farm cottage on a short-term basis before moving next door to his permanent home Marsh Farm from April.

The modest cottage is where the late Duke of Edinburgh spent his final years before his death aged 99 in April 2021. During his stay, domestic staff from the estate are tasked with serving him.

A source told the Sun: “They’ve been told they don’t have to serve Andrew or work for him if they feel uncomfortable. There is already quite a list saying no thanks. There is understandably a lot of disquiet as he is now a total pariah.

“But there is also a worry that once he gets comfortable at Wood Farm while Marsh Farm is being finished, they will never get him out again.”
