Human remains have been discovered in the search for a man who disappeared five years ago. Andrzej Mucha, from Slough, was 57 when he last made contact with his family in November 2021.
The grim discovery was made by Thames Valley Police whilst assisting Polish law enforcement in a field on Grays Park Road in Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire.
Andrzej was listed as a missing person until April 2022, when the case escalated into a murder investigation.
Detective Superintendent Andy Howard stated: “The force has been supporting Polish law enforcement by carrying out searches in a field on Grays Park Road, Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire, since Tuesday 3rd February. Sadly, during these searches human remains have been discovered and now recovered from this area.
“Formal identification as well as a post mortem to try and ascertain the cause of death will be carried out in due course”. He added that specialist officers are providing support to Andrzej’s family.
