Influencer misplaced arm in balcony fall after taking LSD dose 100 instances stronger than regular
Social media star Justin Bunyai, 19, lost his right arm after taking 100 times the intended LSD dose and now shares his recovery journey with 150,000 Instagram followers
A popular influencer has revealed that he lost his right arm in a balcony plunge after consuming a massive dose of LSD.
Justin Bunyai, who boasts 150,000 Instagram followers, endured the drug-induced accident after getting mixed up with the wrong crowd. The events leading to the 19-year-old’s tragic accident have only now been revealed publicly. Justin, who has made a recovery from the incident, routinely posts lifestyle content about navigating life with one arm.
In a fresh video, he disclosed for the first time: “I was with a strange group of friends, I spent my money on stupid things. What I didn’t know was that the person who gave it [the LDS] to me had something against me and gave me 100 times the right amount.”
The Vienna-based Austrian suffered a psychotic break due to the substances and plummeted from the balcony. Psychosis represents a serious mental condition marked by a temporary detachment from reality. Those affected may endure bouts of delusion, hallucinations, and severely distorted perception. The teenage content creator recalled: “I lost my arm and then woke up in hospital.
“Over time, I gradually came to terms with everything. You never know what you’re taking, you never know the dose,” he cautioned.
“You know nothing – the same thing could happen to you. So please don’t be stupid, and never take substances in your life. Don’t make the same mistake I did. The only person to blame for this is myself.
“That’s why I’m not whining about it, but owning up to it and trying to make the best of my current situation.”
The incident occurred in April last year. While Justin was hospitalised, his family initiated a fundraising campaign to assist with his medical expenses. In his latest video he stated he hasn’t used any of the funds to date and is ready to reimburse any donors who wish to have their contributions returned.
The Daily Star previously reported on the death of a TikTok star known for helping to feed the homeless on Skid Row. Better know as Ms Shirley, Shirley Raines was the founder and CEO of the nonprofit “Beauty 2 The Streetz” and had over 5m fans on TikTok.
Shirley was reportedly found unresponsive next to her bed after a wellness check was carried out on Tuesday (January 27) at her home in Henderson, Nevada. Her twin sister Sheila spoke with TMZ following the sad death as she said Shirley “had been healthy and was not on any meds”.
