Newcastle is the first host of the tournament as it swings into action on Thursday evening. And ahead of the first arrow being thrown, the Premier League’s title sponsor BetMGM had a cheeky stunt ready for the event.

A massive golden dart arrived on the banks of the River Tyne before the eight stars – Gian van Veen, Stephen Bunting, Michael van Gerwen. Luke Humphries, Luke Littler, Johnny Clayton, Gerwyn Price, and Josh Rock – posed for pictures in front of the Tyne Bridge.
