Gerwyn Price makes new enterprise revelation earlier than Premier League battle with Luke Humphries
Premier League ace Gerwyn Price is eying a hugely successful 2025, not just in the world of darts but also in his business interests away from the sport
Gerwyn Price will be aiming to lay the groundwork for Premier League glory when he takes on Luke Humphries on the opening night in Newcastle on Thursday.
Once his duties in the North East are complete, he might turn his attention to cultivating some literal crops on the agricultural land he’s purchased, while also tending to his fish and chips business.. The 40-year-old has set his sights on claiming victory in every tournament which has so far eluded him.
The Iceman boasts seven PDC crowns, among them a World Championship, a World Grand Prix and three Grand Slams, yet the Premier League, World Matchplay and numerous other honours remain beyond his grasp. However, his attention isn’t exclusively devoted to the dartboard.

He runs his own fish and chip establishment, aptly christened Chippy 501, and is also keen to develop a lucrative secondary venture from the agricultural property he’s recently acquired. Whilst he doesn’t envisage becoming darts’ equivalent of Jeremy Clarkson, he’s eagerly anticipating launching his countryside endeavour.
He even provided a small insight into his agricultural aspirations during a media event ahead of this year’s Premier League launch. He said: “I’m just putting in for some planning now.

“Fingers crossed I’ll be able to do what I want to do and get the farm the way I want it to be. My brother works for me, so he’ll give me a hand and then the other family members will get stuck in and start milking some cows, I think.”
Last year, he revealed on the Tops and Tale Podcast: “I’ve just bought a farm. That’s in Treharris. There might be a series on it. I think a documentary, or maybe a TV channel coming in and filming.
“Not like Clarkson’s Farm or something. Just for the renovation side of it. It’s going to be out there soon. But if not, then I’ll probably end up doing something like this and chucking it on YouTube from start to finish. It’s going to take 12–18 months to get everything sorted before we actually move on. I just can’t wait for it to be complete. It’s something that I have always wanted – just a bit of a smallholding.
“Something out of the way a little bit so I can have a bit of privacy. When I retire, I’ll probably run it as a decent farm. But I’m probably going to lease most of the land out and have some chickens and some of the little animals – just for now.”
While his farming venture may be a family project, his ambitions in the Premier League and other major tournaments remain a personal mission. Price showed last year he possesses the ability to excel in top-tier competitions, though he’s encountered significant obstacles in Luke Littler and Luke Humphries.
He managed a notable triumph over Littler at the Bahrain Masters, yet squandered a match dart in a disappointing defeat to the 19-year-old at the World Masters. Such setbacks won’t prevent him from expanding his already impressive collection of silverware.
The World No. 12 declared: “I want to win as many majors as I can and win the ones that I haven’t won, and this is one of them. Fingers crossed it’s going to be a good season for me, [hopefully I’ll] make the play-offs and hopefully lift it [the trophy].”
Price reached the play-offs at the O2 Arena last year, but fell short when Littler defeated him in the semi-final. His campaign kicks off with a massive showdown against reigning champion Humphries at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena.
