Sarah Ferguson ‘slept with Jeffrey Epstein’ and was ‘head over heels in love with him’

Royal author Andrew Lownie claims Fergie was in love with the convicted paedophile and may have even ‘slept together’ as bombshell emails from the Epstein files continue to emerge

The tangled web involving Andrew, Sarah Ferguson, Jeffrey Epstein, and Ghislaine Maxwell has taken another chilling turn. Sarah Ferguson’s desperate emails and texts to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have been revealed in the latest release of files by The US Department of Justice.

It’s now been suggested that she was once “madly in love” with the disgraced financier and that they may have “slept together”. The Epstein files, which consist of millions of documents dumped online, provide a deep insight into the life of the billionaire paedophile and his relationships with his associates.

They have cast new light on his twisted relationship with Fergie, who he is said to have financially supported for 15 years. From pleas for the predator to “marry” her to furious messages accusing him of having “disappeared” from her life and “used her”, these emails have thrust their bizarre bond back into the spotlight.

This warped connection has contributed to Sarah’s dramatic fall from grace, alongside her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, who vehemently denies any wrongdoing. This week, during a live appearance on his ‘Lownie Report’ podcast on Substack, royal author Andrew Lownie made a startling claim: “Andrew was sleeping with Ghislaine, Ghislaine was sleeping with Epstein.

“I’ve heard that Epstein and Sarah were sleeping together. It doesn’t surprise me,” according to the Mirror.

And now the author, who crafted an explosive biography on the Yorks and spoke to numerous sources within Andrew and Sarah’s circle, has expanded on his allegations. He said: “Sarah Ferguson was madly in love with Epstein and apparently spent several nights with him.”

In July 2025, Maxwell herself remarked that Fergie had made advances towards Epstein, revealing in an interview with Deputy Attorney-General Todd Blanche that Sarah “put the moves on Jeffrey”. During his podcast, Lownie elaborated: “There’s a complicated psychosexual network going on as well as a financial one.

“Certainly Ghislaine and Sarah were not friends. I think Ghislaine was rather jealous of Sarah and vice versa. She felt that Sarah was moving in on someone she saw as her boyfriend.”

Andrew himself is claimed to have been an “occasional lover” of Epstein’s partner, convicted sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell, something that according to Lownie was “common knowledge” within Epstein’s social circles. In Entitled, Lownie documents that the purported relationship between Ghislaine and Andrew was intermittent across many years.

Andrew has previously stated he encountered Ghislaine at Oxford in the 1980s, and the Epstein files claim “Andrew resumed his on-off affair with Ghislaine Maxwell” in May 1999, several months following his 40th birthday. Both Maxwell and Epstein received invitations from Andrew to various Royal residences throughout the years.

Former police protection officer Paul Page has previously claimed that the duo were romantically linked. In 2022, he stated that he and his palace colleagues harboured suspicions about the pair sharing an “intimate relationship”.

“From the way she was allowed to enter and exit the palace at will, we suspected that she may have had an intimate relationship with Prince Andrew,” he revealed to ITV. Page alleged: “She was allowed to enter and exit the Palace night and day at will,” adding, “Myself and my other colleagues formed the opinion they were in some sort of relationship.”

Epstein himself confessed in 2007 that he and Andrew “have shared the same women”. He also described the King’s brother as his “closest friend in the world”.

Meanwhile, Maxwell has described Andrew as a “dear friend” following her conviction for sex trafficking, but was reportedly “shaken” to discover that the former prince’s legal team insisted the pair were never particularly close. The recently unveiled emails from the explosive Epstein files suggest that Ferguson once maintained a close bond with Epstein.

In September 2011, Sarah emailed Epstein offering congratulations on having a “baby boy” — it was previously unknown he had fathered children — before sending a furious follow-up message just minutes later.

“Don’t know if you are still on this BBM [BlackBerry Messenger] but heard from The Duke that you have had a baby boy,” the initial email reads. “Even though you never kept in touch, I still am here with love, friendship and congratulations on your baby boy. Sarah xx.”

Just eight minutes later, she wrote: “You have disappeared. I did not even know you were having a baby. It was sooooo crystal clear to me that you were only friends with me to get to Andrew. And that really hurt me deeeply. More than you will know.”

In another exchange from 2009, she writes: “You are a legend. I really don’t have the words to describe, my love, gratitude for your generosity and kindness…Xx I am at your service. Just marry me.”
