Emma Louise Jones golf swing in eye-popping gown wows colleague – ‘very pure’
Emma Louise Jones showed off her skills with a club in her hands as she played eye-popping golf swings that left her presenting colleague unable to hide his true reaction
Emma Louise Jones tried her hand at a different sport as the presenter picked up a golf club for the first time in her life – and it showed.
The former BBC Sport host has been a regular fixture in the sunshine after she covered the Gold Cup from Abu Dhabi for Raceday TV. Enjoying the winter sun, Emma was able to scrub up in an eye-catching, low-cut yellow dress.
And if there’s a lesson regarding why golfers wear certain attire, Emma’s attempts to swing the club proved why as her white high heels and figure-hugging dress proved to get in the way of her ability on the driving range.

As Emma asked for tips, she admitted she’s not wearing “great attire” while shifting her high-heeled shoes back away from the ball and shoulder width apart as she slipped into her stance.
After being moved into a new position with her arms lower down and her elbows tucked into his waist as she leaned over the ball, the concern in Emma’s voice was palpable as she confessed she felt “very awkward” in the motion.
Her fellow racing presenter Rishi Persad grew very invested in Emma’s quick lesson, sarcastically quipping she looked “very natural” in the pose.
While Emma made solid connection with her first attempt to drive, the video did her no favours as they included the next attempt, which ended in a swing and miss. The Leeds girl then continued to knock another few shots off the tee, receiving compliments from the team around here.
Unsure if they were being sincere about their praise of her skills with the club, Rishi appeared to not be completely convinced by the reaction as he pulled a hilarious eyes on stalks look.
Emma confidently wrote in the comments section: “Rory who?” While the post had the caption: “Emma McIlroy” written across the screen.
Fans were less convinced but some still praised her first try. “Not bad for a first go Emma,” one user commented. “Simply brilliant,” one fan sarcastically wrote with a grimace emoji.
A third claimed: “You’re a natural Emma!” Another urged her to consider changing footwear next time, adding: “I think with slightly better shoes you’ll be on to a winner.” As a fifth lapped Rishi’s reaction.
Emma has been taking her role on Raceday TV head on, and seemingly now hands on after her golfing experiment. The blonde stunner has previously appeared at racecourses around the UK and abroad giving out outfit and fashion tips.
