Influencer makes bone broth soup with personal ribs after op to attain ‘wasp waist’
TikTok sensation Adea Danielle, from Canada, kept the ribs for six months before boiling them for her millions of followers, with some questioning whether they were really hers
An influencer has sparked shock and disbelief after revealing she made bone broth using her own ribs, which were removed during a cosmetic procedure.
Adea Danielle, known to her followers as Adea, shared that she had some of her ribs taken out in order to achieve a tiny “wasp waist”. The social media star, who boasts 1.7 million fans on TikTok, said she kept her removed ribs frozen for six months before deciding to use them in a broth.
Her jaw-dropping video, which shows her tasting soup made from her own bones, quickly went viral, racking up 16.8 million views and attracting 12,000 comments. In the clip, Adea is first seen sporting a post-operative corset, which she explains is part of her recovery process following the surgery.
She then presents a bag of small bones to her viewers, announcing: “Let’s make some bone broth with my own ribs. I haven’t opened this bag of ribs in six months.”
The Canada-based influencer, who also speaks French, is then shown boiling the bones and leaving them to simmer.
“After hours of cooling in the fridge, we have a highly concentrated bone broth,” she declares. “Bone broth has a lot of vitamins and is really good for the gut health.” After taking a sip, she comments: “This tastes like chicken.”
Viewers were left stunned by the revelation. One follower exclaimed: “Please tell me it’s not real!” While someone else added: “Human ribs are bigger than that – those are ribs from an animal”.
Another fan pointed out: “They’re not pork ribs, they’re hers, she even said so herself in the video.” Medical experts issued warnings about the dangers of this type of surgery after the footage went viral.
According to Dr. Manuel Gómez Villar, “The ribs protect vital organs such as the heart, lungs, and kidneys – and along with the intercostal muscles, they are essential for breathing and lung capacity.”
He also mentioned that “It’s a very difficult surgery to perform precisely because of the risks involved.” Adea has previously spoken out about her preference to keep her trans identity private from potential romantic partners.
She explained that she often chooses not to disclose this initially because of the stigma and preconceptions associated with being trans.
Adea mentioned that if a guy were to find out she’s trans before getting to know her, he might make assumptions about her personality and behavior. She stated, “I want him to get to know me – so I just tell them when I’m interested and when I want to take things further.”
However, some people have criticised her for allegedly “lying” to men by not disclosing her trans status right away. Adea feels that this criticism implies that she’s not truly a woman, which is hurtful and frustrating for her.
“Guys often comment ‘Oh you’re lying to men’, but then how can they say I’m lying if I present myself as a woman?” she said.
