Kim Jong-un to unveil his teen daughter, 13, as inheritor and successor ‘this month’
South Korean intelligence claims Kim Jong-un will announce Kim Ju Ae as the next leader of North Korea at the upcoming party congress. The youngster is already said to be advising on state policy
The teenage daughter of Kim Jong-un is set to be unveiled as the tubby tyrant’s heir later this month.
South Korean intelligence claims Kim Ju Ae will be announced as his successor during their party congress. Little is known about the youngster, who is believed to be 13-years-old, however sources says she is already having an influence on state policy.
Kim’s daughter made her first public facing appearance on state television in 2022 when she was seen inspecting North Korea’s latest intercontinental ballistic missile while holding her daddy’s hand.
Since Kim’s kid was unveiled North Korean state media has referred to the girl as “the beloved child,” “great person of guidance” and “hyangdo” in Korean. Hyangdo is a term in Korean typically used to describe top leaders and their successors. Experts have said Ju Ae’s designation could lead to her taking on a more formal party role, potentially even First Secretary of the Central Committee.
The position is the second most powerful position in the ruling Workers’ Party, North Korea’s sole ruling party which Kim Jong un is the current party leader of.
The existence of Ju Ae was first uncovered when American basketball star Dennis Rodman revealed the Supreme leader of North Korea “held baby Ju Ae” during a trip to country. Lawmakers in Seoul said the North Korean leader has effectively designated his daughter, Ju Ae, as his successor following a briefing from the country’s National Intelligence Service.
South Korean lawmaker Lee Seong-kwen said: “As Kim Ju Ae has shown her presence at various events, including the founding anniversary of the Korean People’s Army and her visit to the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, and signs have been detected of her voicing her opinion on certain state policies, the NIS believes she has now entered the stage of being designated as successor.”
The Daily Star previously reported South Korean President Lee Jae Myung warned North Korea continues to produce so much nuclear material that they could build as many as 10 to 20 nuclear weapons every single year. Speaking at a televised New Year’s press conference, Lee made the admission and said that the rest of the world should be wary about the abilities of other countries.
He advised that a “pragmatic approach” is needed to deal with North Korea in the long term, citing the North’s advances in nuclear capabilities, Yonhap News reported. The South Korean President said: “Nuclear materials capable of producing 10 to 20 nuclear weapons a year continue to be produced (in North Korea) and intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) technology is still advancing.”
